ZTE to Make a Comeback in India. To Launch 4 New Smartphones by December

ZTE faced an early 2018 trade ban imposed by the US. Though it was lifted later on, the manufacturer has been cautious in other markets as well. It has been a year since ZTE has launched a smartphone in the Indian market, the last one being Blade A2 Plus. Now according to a new report, the company is planning an aggressive comeback in the market. As per the sources, ZTE will be launching a number of smartphones that are priced competitively and will introduce as many as four handsets in the next two months. The smartphones are revealed to be Blade A7 Vita, Blade V9 Vita and Blade B9 along with the flagship Axon 9 Pro.

ZTE Blade A7 Vita

It is the most affordable one among the four and features a 5.45 inch display with a resolution of HD+ (1440 x720 pixels). Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage but the Indian variant will have only 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. There is a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3,200 mAh battery. For security there is a fingerprint sensor though it comes with Face Unlock feature too.

ZTE Blade A9 Vita

Similar to the ZTE Blade A7 Vita, it features a 5.45 inch display with a resolution of FHD+ on the international variant. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. There is a dual camera setup on the rear of 13MP + 2MP configuration while offering a 5MP on the front. It runs on custom UI on top of Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3,200 mAh battery.

ZTE Blade V9

The ZTE Blade V9 along with the Blade A9 Vita was unveiled at this year’s MWC event in Barcelona. It features a 5.7 inch display with a resolution of FHD+ and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 450 chipset coupled with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage. There is a dual camera setup on the rear with a primary 13MP camera of f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 5MP camera while offering a 8MP on the front. It runs on MiFavor 6.0 UI on top of Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3,200 mAh battery.

ZTE Axon 9 Pro

The smartphone was first unveiled at IFA in Berlin. The flagship smartphone features a 6.2 inch AMOLED display with a top notch and a resolution of (2,248 x 1080 pixels) It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and coupled with 6GB RAM. There is a dual camera setup on the rear of 12MP + 20MP configuration while offering a 20MP on the front for selfies and video calling. It comes with an IP68 rated body and a glass sandwiched body. It is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 Fast Charging support.

Price

The source claims that ZTE Blade A7 Vita, Blade A9 Vita and ZTE Blade V9 will be launched in India before November. As for the prices, the Blade A7 Vita will be priced in the sub-6k segments. The Blade V9 Vita will be priced around Rs 8,000 while the mid-range Blade V9 will come with a price tag around Rs 15,000. The ZTE Axon 9 Pro on the other hand will be launched in December with a priced around Rs 30,000- Rs 35,000.

ASUS Zenfone 6 Launching Soon in India. Teased by Flipkart!

Last week, ASUS launched its 2019 flagship smartphone Zenfone 6 which came with a unique flip camera mechanism. The smartphone was launching in Europe at a starting price of Euro 499( Rs 39,000 approx) but said nothing about the global launch. Now e-commerce website Flipkart has started teasing the Zenfone 6 for the Indian market.

The Zenfone 6 product page is live on Flipkart, mentioning all the important highlights of the device. The teaser reads- Coming soon to India hinting that the company might launch it in India in the next few weeks. While there is no official launch date, ASUS might be going for its primary competitor OnePlus 7, which was launched recently.

The ASUS Zenfone 6 comes with a 6.3 inch FHD+ LCD display with almost no bezels and very small chin. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 paired with 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB internal storage (UFS 2.1) that can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.

The handset comes with a Flip camera setup mechanism which users can take rear photos as well as selfies. The camera setup consists of a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor as a primary camera along with a 13MP 125-degree ultra-wide angle secondary camera. The flip camera means we will be able to use the 48MP sensor for selfie giving an edge over the competition. The pop-up camera is made of something ASUS calls “liquid metal” and have been tested over 1,00,000 continuous flips. It lacks OIS but has 4K recording support.

The phone runs ZenUI based on Android 9 Pie with a stock system navigational system-wide Dark Mode and intelligent memory management. It draws power from a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W quick charge support. It has a rear fingerprint sensor retains the 3.5mm headphone jack. While ASUS is yet to reveal the Zenfone 6 price in India we expect to come at a price tag between Rs 37,000 and going all the way up to Rs 50,000 for the highest variant.

Black Shark 2 Launching in India on 27th May

Black Shark is all set to debut to their first phone here in India. They started sending media invites to different platforms. As per the invite letter, the programme is scheduled to kick off on May 27. The first device will be the Black Shark 2 which was launched earlier this year i.e on March. The phone was having excellent gaming performance and hence it was in the category of gaming smartphones.

Asus, Razer has already entered the gaming smartphone market here, so finally Xiaomi is entering the scene. With the launch of Redmi Note 7 Pro, Xiaomi announced that Black Shark would debut their phones soon in India. Black Shark started their process to launch to their phones in March. The BIS certification also gave a hint that Black Shark 2 is soon going to be hit the Indian Market.

Black Shark 2 spots a 6.39-inch OLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor which is made by Samsung complete with a pressure-sensitive system which enables users to map the buttons located on the corners of the screen. Users can trigger them by pressing harder on that part of the screen. Well they have optimized the screen for better color accuracy, decreasing screen flicker at low brightness, and lowering touch latency to 43.5ms.

The phone spots the flagship Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage for the base variant and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage for the top variant. It has Liquid Cool 3.0 liquid-cooling technology for an elite gaming experience. The device is packed by a 4000 mAh battery which supports upto 27W fast charging. It doesn’t compromise on the cameras as well.

The rear has a primary 48MP sensor with f/1.75 lens and a 12MP secondary lens. It has features like HDR, low-light mode, portrait mode, and  4K video recording at 30FPS.

OPPO K3 Official Poster Reveals Pop Up camera, In Display FP & SD710!

OPPO will be launching a new smartphone on May 23 and it seems the model packs everything. Dubbed as the OPPO K3, the official teaser poster has been released by the Chinese manufacturer. The smartphone will be the successor to the OPPO K1 that was launched last year with an in-screen fingeprint sensor.

As previous rumors suggested, the OPPO K3 will feature a retractable selfie camera. It has a classic pop-up module that takes 0.74 seconds to come out. There is a single sensor on it which is speculated to be a 16MP one. The company claims the pop-up mechanism has been tested over 2,00,000 times.

The rear will sport a dual camera setup of 16MP + 2MP. From the official image, the fingerprint sensor is missing so we can assume that it will have an under display one. The front has a 6.5 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 91.1% screen-to-body ratio and DC dimming. So this will be a mid-range handset will an ID sensor under the display.

Under the hood, it houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 paired with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. It will also have an 8GB RAM variant and will retain the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The battery size is unknown but it is likely to come with VOOC 3.0. The official website of OPPO confirms that it will be available in three color options: Nebula Purple which is featured on the poster, White and Black. As for the pricing,  it is believed to be priced between 1,000 Yuan (Rs 10,000 approx) to 2,200 Yuan (22,000 approx).
