Now, new reports indicate the Chinese manufacturer could launch a new budget friendly smartphone in the Pocophone line-up called the Poco F1 Lite.

Poco F1 lite

The Pocophone F1 Lite was spotted in benchmarking site GeekBench. The website revealed the smartphone to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 paired with 4GB RAM. It runs on the latest Android 9 Pie with likely MIUI on top. On the performance front, the Poco F1 managed to score 1341 and 4830 points on the single and multi-core test.

From another report, an unknown Xiaomi device with codename URANUS appeared on GeekBench database. Since, it has the same specifications, it is speculated that the Uranus is the Poco F1 Lite. Very few information is available about the Poco F1 Lite at this moment but it looks like it will be placed in the mid-range segment. Competition will be fierce as the recently launched Redmi Note 7 Pro and Samsung M30 provides some impressive specs.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 48MP primary rear camera which captures impressive details because of its large sensor. On the other hand, the Samsung M30 provides a triple camera setup along with an AMOLED display on front. It will be hard for the Poco F1 Lite to outshine these competitors. That being said, the Poco F1 has a generated a good fan following providing specs like SD 855 and 6GB RAM at an affordable cost.

As of now, the company hasn’t released any official launch dates but it should be around the corner based on these appearances.

Huawei is all set to unveil its upcoming Huawei P30 flagship series on March 26. The Chinese manufacturer has been teasing the top variant P30 Pro a lot. It is also expected to launch the Huawei P30 Lite alongside the standard P30 variant. Today, the P30 Pro was spotted in benchmarking website GeekBench.

It managed a score of 3289 and 9817 points on the single-core and multi-core test respectively .Though it appears to be in the same league as SD 855 and Apple’s A12 Bionic, it lags a bit behind.

Under the hood, the Huawei P30 Pro will be powered by the 7nm Kirin 980 chipset which also powers the Mate 20 Pro and the Honor View 20. Though it is a powerful chipset, it doesn’t match up to the level of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 and Apple’s A12 Bionic. The difference is not that much though, which is a good thing. The phone is listed with 8GB RAM and running on Android 9 Pie.

The smartphone carries the model number VOG-L29 which belongs to the Huawei P30 Pro. The handset also received the NBTC certification in Thailand along with TKDN and NCC certifications in Indonesia and Taiwan respectively. The certifications revealed some key specs of the device. However, the information is already known and there is nothing new.

The Huawei P30 and the P30 was certified by Taiwan’s regulatory body NCC while three variants of the P30 was certified by  Indonesia’s TKDN which are likely to be the P30, P30 Pro and the P30 Lite. From the listings the ELE-L29 model number is likely the standard P30 which will feature 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128B storage. As mentioned earlier, the VOG-L29 is the P30 Pro which comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage. It will also support wireless charging. Finally, there is the MAR-LX2 that should be the P30 Lite. However, the listing didn’t include any specifications of the device.

The remaining specifications are expected to be revealed at the launch event on March 26. Till then, keep tuned.
