Xiaomi to Launch Mi A2 in India on August 8th!

After unveiling the next generation of Android One phones i.e. the Mi A2 and the Mi A2 Lite globally, at an event held in Spain, Xiaomi has now confirmed that the Mi A2 will be launched in India on August 8. However, the A2 Lite won’t be coming to India, as revealed from the global launch.

As evident, the Mi A2 and A2 lite are rebrands of the Mi 6X and Redmi 6 Pro launched earlier in China. Both the devices are backed by Android One and will be available in 40 countries very soon. The announcement regarding the Indian launch comes from Manu Kumar Jain, Vice President and Managing Director of Xiaomi India, through his Twitter and Instagram handles, which is further quoted by Mi India’s twitter page.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 sports a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with FullHD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9, maintaining a pixel density of 403ppi. The display is protected by a layer of 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz and coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. It comes in 4GB+32GB, 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB RAM and Storage configurations.

In the Optics department, the Dual Camera setup at the back consists of a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 as the primary shooter with an aperture of f/1.75, stacked with a secondary 20-megapixel Sony IM376 shooter which too comes with f/1.75 aperture and 2-micron 4-in-1 Super Pixel for capturing brighter photos in low light conditions. For Selfies, we have an AI-powered 20MP shooter at the front which comes with an aperture of f/2.0.

On the software front, the device runs on Stock Android 8.1 Oreo under the Google’s Android One program. It is backed by a 3010mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0.

The Mi A2 comes in Red, Gold and Black colour options and is priced at €249 (20073.80 INR), €279 (22492.34 INR) and €349 (28135.57 INR) for 4/32GB, 4/64GB and 6/128GB variants, respectively. It will be rolled out gradually in 40 markets across the globe, including the Indian launch on Aug 8.

Realme teases Realme 3 Indian Launch!

The latest smartphone from Realme, the Realme 3 is going to be launched in India soon, and the company has released an official teaser about the imminent Indian launch of the device. The Realme 3 was first teased earlier this year and was said that it will be launched within the first quarter of 2019. Now, the company has kept their promise and is all set to launch the smartphone soon.


While the teaser image leaves no doubt that the device is coming soon, Realme has kept silent about the specifications of the Realme 3. The tweet made by the official twitter handle of Realme simply goes with the caption: “Let’s see if you can put 1 and 2 together”.

And below is an image showing the retail boxes of the company’s previous two smartphones, the Realme 1 and Realme 2, with a “+” sign in between them, teasing the fans with the with the simple math, 1+2 = 3, ie, the Realme 3. If this alone is not enough, then by simply going through the official replies made to the comments for that post confirms that the Realme 3 is indeed the company’s next smartphone in India.

Even though the teaser is out, there isn’t any solid rumors or leaks about the specifications of the Realme 3 available yet. While Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has said that the brand is working on a smartphone with 48MP camera, there is no confirmations or leaks available enough to believe that it will be the Realme 3.

In other news, Realme is planning to open retail stores in India in a bid to enter the smartphone market more aggressively. This comes in the wake of new Govt. regulations that prevents brands from making exclusive launches on e-commerce platforms.

Recently Realme India CEO Madhav has also said that they doesn’t see any values in launching smartphones with punch hole display or triple rear cameras, and are concentrated on the 5000-20000INR segment.

Eventhough the brand is relatively new in the Indian market, the numbers shows that they have put enough homework and is making momentum. Reports says that Realme sold 4 Million smartphones in the first 7 months in 2018.

Vivo iQOO Specifications Teased. Will Feature Snapdragon 855, 12 GB RAM, & 44W Fast-Charging!




Chinese smartphone maker Vivo had announced their plans to introduce a sub-brand named iQOO last week on Chinese microblogging website Weibo. This step looks like an inspiration from other Chinese smartphone giants like Xiaomi, ZTE, and OPPO.

Today, an image with randomly placed numbers and words have surfaced on Weibo which hints at the specifications of the first iQOO device. The name of the smartphone is not known yet. According to the image, the device will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset which obviously means that this new smartphone will be a flagship device.

There will be 12 GB of RAM on the handset to ensure smooth multitasking and it is coupled with a whopping 256 GB of internal storage. The device comes with NFC chipset which enables the users for fast and hassle-free payment of bills.

A vertically stacked triple rear cameras will be present on the device with support for Super HDR technology. In terms of battery, there will be a whopping 4000 mAh battery. The key attraction is the presence of 44W fast charging which is the fastest charging seen so far in the industry. The port used on the handset will be USB Type C.

Reports have surfaced online that Vivo will be using sixth generation in-display fingerprint sensors on this one. The Vivo NEX Dual came with the fifth generation of in-display fingerprint sensor technology. The brand has not disclosed details regarding what the newer generation in-display fingerprint sensor would bring but it is obvious that the range of the sensor placed will see an increase in radius.

The speed and accuracy of the sensor are also expected to be improved on this newer sensor. There is no information available right now regarding the launch, pricing, and availability of this device but we expect the brand to announce the details soon. Till then, stay tuned for updates.

Samsung Galaxy M30 to Launch on February 27th, to Come with Triple Cameras & Infinity U display!!

Samsung has been struggling in the mid-range smartphone market for a while and was facing stiff competition from Chinese smartphone makers like Huawei and Xiaomi. However, Samsung is now on it’s way back through their M series smartphones which were released in India last month.

It has been just a month since they launched their first two devices in the M series lineup, and now they are all set to launch the third one, the Galaxy M30.

Recently the specifications of the galaxy M30 were leaked online. And it revealed that it will be sporting a triple camera setup. Now, Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy M30 will be launched on February 27 at 6 pm through a teaser posted on their official twitter handle. However, there was no mentions about a launch venue, and it is expected to be a silent launch in India.

While there wasn’t much about the specifications of the Galaxy  M30 in the teaser, it did mention about the triple camera setup, using the hashtag “#IM3XPOWERD”. The teaser also indicates that he M30 will be flaunting an edge-to-edge display. The display is said to be a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED Infinity V display unit with a tiny notch at the top. It will most probably feature Samsung’s own Exynos 7904 chipset, which was seen on the Galaxy m20. However an earlier Geekbench listing stated the presence of Exynos 7885.

Coming to the camera department, earlier leaks suggests that the rear triple rear camera setup will be of – 13 MP with f/1.9 aperture + 5 MP with f/2.2 aperture + 5 MP with f/2.2 aperture sensors. Leaks suggests that it will have either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage on board. It will be backed by the same 5000mAh battery that was seen on the Galaxy M20.

While Samsung has let no word slip about the pricing of the Galaxy M30, reports suggests that it will be placed anywhere around Rs.15000, inorder to take-on the likes of Xiaomi, Huawei and Asus.
