It’s no coincidence that Xiaomi is in the spotlight every now and then. The Chinese OEM is looking to tighten it’s grip over the Indian market with time. Couple of days back we speculated on how Xiaomi was planning to launch the Mi A2 and Redmi Y1 soon and now we have a date. Apparently, Xiaomi posted an invite for their Aipril 25 event on their website. But, it doesn’t say much, take a look:
The Mi 6x will run on Helio P60 processor (according to latest reports) and is expected to come with dual cameras on the back. Coming to the display, the phone will come with a 5.99 screen and will be powered by a 2910 mAh battery, which is quite a downgrade compared to it’s predecessor which had a 3080 mAh battery. But the phone will not be coming to India with a Mediatek chipset, as Xiaomi has a ban on releasing phones with Mediatek chipset in India. It might be featuring Snapdragon 626 when it comes to India as reported earlier.
There is no upgrade on the memory front with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. Class and price don’t go hand in hand, but the Xiaomi Mi A2 is surely expected to beat that.
Let’s just wait for more teases from the company until we get our hands on more info about the phone, or let’s wait for more leaks! 😉
