Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of the Redmi 6 series next week . The new series is the successor of the Redmi 5 series launched half a year ago. Though it may seem early, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is very keen to bring this in the market. Though not much is known about the smartphone apart from a few leaks, we know that it will be following the notch trend adopted by top flagships to mid-rangers.
Today a live hands-on device photo of the Redmi 6 has surfaced online showing a new color variant different than the first one. The current photo is a lot different from the one we saw in the first leak and TENAA certification. The new image shows black front panel unlike the previous one with white bezel. The black bezel significantly makes the bezel less visible and look taller.
Take a look:
The top notch is a lot smaller than the Mi 8 series so don’t expect a 3D facial scanner yet. However it houses the front camera, earpiece and other sensors. The back sports a gold finish with dual cameras stacked in a vertical position on the top right along with antenna line in both top and bottom.
From previous reports, the Redmi 6 will feature a 5.84 inch display with 5.84 display with a resolution of FHD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) ) and an aspect ratio of 19:9 because of the top notch. It will be powered by an Octa-core chipset clocked at 2 GHz (sounds like a Snapdragon 625) and will be available in three configurations, 2GB RAM & 16GB internal storage, 3GB RAM & 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM & 64GB internal storage. All three variants will have expandable memory via microSD card.
The device sports dual cameras in the rear of (12MP + 8MP) configuration while the front will offer a single 5MP camera for selfies and video calling. It will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10 running on top of it and will be backed by a 3,900 mAh battery. It measures 149.33 x 71.68 x 8.75 mm and weighs 178 grams. The smartphone will be available in Black, Blue, Gold, Gray, Pink Red, Rose Gold, Silver and White color variants.
Huawei Mate 20 Series Poster Reveals Camera Specs, Unboxing Video leaked as well
The Huawei Mate 20 series including the Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro is scheduled for launch tomorrow on 16th of October. We have seen quite a lot of leaks in past including renders, hands-on images, and specifications. The leaked posters reveal few of the main selling features of the Mate 20 series which is the 7nm flagship chipset i.e. the HiSilicon Kirin 980, a super wide-angle lens, support for super macro shooting and 40W Huawei SuperCharge.
Furthermore, the poster gives a front look to the Mate 20 and the rear view of the Mate 20 Pro. The Mate 20 bears an edge to edge display with a water drop notch on top followed by a physical fingerprint scanner at the back. Although the front side ain’t disclosed yet, it is clear from the leaks in past that it will have a regular Notch with an embedded 3D structurer light module for 3D face unlock. The Pro version will also feature an In-Display fingerprint scanner omitting the regular one.
Both the phones sport a Leica triple camera set up at the back along with an LED flash in a squircle-shaped module out of which as per the rumors will feature a 40-megapixel main sensor with f/1.8 aperture paired with a f/2.4 aperture 20-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. The triple lenses can work simultaneously to capture ultra-macro shots from a very close distance of 2.5cm.
The Mate 20 will grab its juice from a 4,000mAh battery whereas the Mate 20 Pro will arrive with a larger 4,200mAh power cell, aided with a whopping 40W SuperCharge fast charging technology which is claimed to pump in 70 percent of charge from 0 in just 30 minutes.
Moving on, the leaked unboxing video shows off a blue colored MAte 20 Pro, further confirming the triple cameras and Notch with Face Unlock tech. Further, it also confirms the In-Display fingerprint scanner which is not the fastest despite being the latest in the market. You can have a look at the video below:
Lastly, thanks to all the leaks and reports, we already know most of the things about the device except for the price. Things do not end here, Huawei also aims to launch a gaming-centric Mate 20X smartphone with a huge 7.12″ display, an advanced Mate 20 Pro Porsche Design smartphone and Huawei Watch GT smartwatch. Huawei Mate 20 & Mate 20 Pro images out. No headphone jack in Mate 20 Pro
The Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are two much awaited devices from the chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei. Now leakster Roland Quandt has released the images of both the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro in their official transparent cases in Twilight color. While only the images of the rear side is available, it does speaks a lot about the featured of both the devices.
Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro in their official transparent case in Twilight color. Note different camera specs, no headphone jack on Pro (that’s just a cutout for IR at the top, I believe). As always, add :orig to the pic URL to get full size/max quality. pic.twitter.com/413iZjM8o2
— Roland Quandt (@rquandt) October 8, 2018
The most notable thing about the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are the headphone jacks, which are missing in the Pro version, as per the leaked images. While there is a small cut at the headphone jack’s position, Rolandt acknowledge it as the cut out for the IR blaster.
Apart from that, we can see that both the devices now spot a triple camera in the rear with Leica optics. In the Mate 20, the fingerprint sensor is positioned at the rear, beneath the camera. While, in the Mate 20 Pro, there is no fingerprint sensor in the rear, meaning that it might feature an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
Also take a look at these case renders leaked:
At present, there isn’t any confirmation about the specification of both the devices. Rumors claim that the Huawei Mate 20 sports a Kirin 980 chipset. The Kirin 980 was announced in IFA this year as the first AI chipset to be manufactured on the 7nm FinFet process by TSMC. It also gets the crown of worlds first chipset to have the new Cortex-A76 architecture, first dual NPU design, and the first to support LTE Cat.21 speeds. The Kirin 980 features the latest Mali-G76 GPU on-board for graphics.
In the display department, the Mate 20 pro will have a curved OLED display with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,120 pixels, while the non-pro version will have a 6.53” LCD screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,244 pixels. The Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will be powered by a 4000mAh and 4,200mAh battery respectively as per the rumors.
The Mate 20 packs 4GB RAM while the Pro version comes with 6GB. As for now, more details of the devices are not available.
