Last month, Xiaomi filed a trademark for its third brand to be called POCOPHONE The first smartphone is already in development and even made an FCC (Federal Communications Commission) appearance.

There was a report recently about an upcoming Xiaomi phone for India, which firmware files previously hinted the name Beryllium but nothing much else was known about the phone design aspects of the smartphone was a mystery until now. We thought this might be the upcoming phone under POCOPHONE brand name.

Now, a new hands-on video of the device surfaced online today. Take a look:

There is a top notch which is wider, hinting that the 3D facial recognition from the Mi 8 may be included. There is a small chin below with virtual capacitive buttons. The rear sports a dual camera setup stacked in a vertical arrangement in the centre but there is no sign of a fingerprint sensor meaning it may be fully dependent on the facial recognition tech. It is painted with a blue colour likely to be one of its color options.

From the video, Xiaomi POCOPHONE will sport 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It will run MIUI 9 built on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. From earlier reports, there will be  a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 powering the device. It will be backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with no report of 4,000 mAh battery.

If the specs are true we can be sure that Xiaomi is gunning for a top of the line phone which stands among company’s best phones currently, Mi 8 & Mi Mix 2s.

It is also worth mentioning that the phone might come with IR face recognition like Mi 8 or the complete face ID solution which we saw first in Mi 8 Explorer Edition.

White variant of Oppo Find X Leaked! Launching Soon?

Published

on

OPPO has recently unveiled the Oppo Find X which is a matter of talks since the time of launch due to its innovative design or we should say- one of the most innovative designs we ever saw since past few years. The device is currently available in two colour variants including the Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue. Now, few images have appeared online which showcase the white version of the device.

The leaked images are sourced from two different leaksters. The first image partially reveals the glossy back panel of a white coloured Oppo device which matches exactly with the one on the Oppo Find X.

The other image showcases the front side of the device, which again, is on par with the Oppo Find X due to the nearly bezel-less design with 3D curved edges. Both the images look realistic, adding to the credibility of the same.

As far as the above images are concerned, it seems that Oppo has been already working on a White version too. Anyways, it’s common among Chinese manufacturers like Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Honor and OnePlus to launch new colour versions of the device after a few weeks of its launch. This practice not only helps them to stay in the limelight but also bring a significant boost in the number of sales. Therefore, we expect the Chinese giant to launch the white version in the coming few weeks.

In India, the device retails for a price tag of Rs. 59,990 (~$876). Additionally, a premium Find X Lamborghini Edition will come to India as well, which will be made available next month in China for 9,999 Yuan (~$1,495). Though the device is yet to land in European markets, it is confirmed to land in U.K. by the Spokesperson of the company. Stay tuned for more updates.
