Xiaomi‘s dedicated series of smartphones offering huge screens and massive batteries, the Max series, was received well among people who preferred larger devices. The Max lineup is about to get newer variants – the Mi Max 4 and Xiaomi Mi Max 4 Pro.
The display size of the previous generation Xiaomi Mi Max 3 was 6.9-inches. Reports have surfaced online that the Xiaomi Mi Max 7 and the Xiaomi Mi Max Pro would feature a massive 7.2-inch display. A notch on top of the display is rumored to be present.
According to the rumors, both the sides of these devices would be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4 or 6 GB of RAM. There will be 64 or 128 GB internal memory options.
The 48 MP Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor seen on Redmi Note 7 is rumored to be featured in this handset too with support for Super Night Scene mode to improve the low light performance of the camera. The Redmi Note 7 Pro will be featuring a Sony IMX586 sensor. We are not sure if the same will happen on the Mi Max 4 Pro.
There would be a massive 5,800 mAh battery with support for up to 18W fast charge. In terms of software, Android 9 Pie with MIUI is expected. The expected prices are 1,599 Yuan (about Rs.17,000) for the 4 + 64 GB version, 1,799 Yuan (about Rs.20,000) for the 6 + 64 GB and 1,999 Yuan (about Rs.21,000) for the 6 + 128 GB version.
As far as the Pro variant is concerned, the major difference is that the Pro variant would make use of a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset. Rest of the specifications will remain the same. The specifications listed about these two devices closely resemble the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro which gives a skeptical feel regarding the authenticity of them. However, more leaks will be coming in the upcoming weeks. Till then, stay tuned for updates.
