Xiaomi CC9 & CC9e Launched in China! 48MP Triple Rear Cameras & 32MP Front Cameras!

Xiaomi today introduced its Mi CC9 series in China today. Under this new series, the Chinese manufacturer has launched two smartphones: the Xiaomi CC9 and the Xiaomi CC9e which comes with gradient finish design and 3D glass body.

Xiaomi CC9

The Xiaomi CC9 features a 6.39 inch AMOLED display with a in-screen fingerprint sensor. under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm 710 chipset that also powers the Realme X and the Realme 3 Pro. It is available in two configurations: 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage.

In the optics department, the device sports a triple camera rear setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a secondary 8MP sensor and a 2MP sensor. It has features like AI scene detection and Night Mode. On the front, it includes a 32MP camera that sits inside a dot drop notch. It runs MIUI 10 on top of Android 9 Pie is backed by a 4030 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It comes packed with Xiaomi’s own emojis called “Mimoji”.

Other features include Wi-Fi, LTE, NFC, Hi-Res audio, Bluetooth 4.2, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is available in White Lover, Blue Planet and Dark Prince color variant. The Blue Planet Color variant has a dark blue shade that creates an wavy 3D light refraction patterns.

Xiaomi CC9e

The Mi CC9e features a 6.08 inch AMOLED display with a in-screen fingerprint sensor. It is the first smartphone to be powered by the Snapdragon 665 chipset that Qualcomm released earlier this year.  It is paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage.

The device sports a triple camera rear setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor and a 2MP sensor. On the front, it has the same 32MP shooter placed on the dot drop notch. It runs MIUI 10 on top of Android 9 Pie and draws power from a 4030 mAh battery.

Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi CC9 pricing starts at 1799 Yuan (Rs 18,000 approx) for the 6/64GB variant while the higher 6GB/128GB variant costs 1999 Yuan (Rs 20,000 approx). The CC9e is cheaper than the CC9 starting at 1,299 Yuan (Rs 13000 approx) for the 4GB/64GB variant. The other two variants with 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB configuration costs 1399 Yuan (Rs 14,000 approx) and Rs 1599 Yuan (Rs 16,000 approx) respectively.

According to some rumours the Mi CC9 will be released in India as the Mi A3 while the Mi CC9e will be rebranded as Mi A3 Lite in the county. However, there is no official confirmation from the company.
