If you are the beta tester then you might have already seen this latest update, if in case you are not then no worries. WhatsApp has launched their WhatsApp payments via the WhatsApp beta version for Android & latest WhatsApp for iOS app in iPhone (only for some users). All these payments will be done only via UPI (Unified Payments Interface) but as of now, it is showing just the list of all the banks and also the all the bank accounts which are linked.
As of now, this new feature is in the final stage and it will very soon be available for the normal users. This official shortcut for all the payment shows up all the list of attachments along with the Documents, Gallery, Location and also Audio. Once you tap on the payments option, this will directly take you to the UPI account. If you don’t have a UPI account, then you need to create one on the UPI app or on the bank’s website.
This complete process in the final stage and as of now some of the beta testers can access the feature in Android Once this all-new feature from WhatsApp will go live, then this could be one of the best easiest ways to send and receive money without the need of any external app. Not only Android app of WhatsApp, iPhone version of WhatsApp has also received the feature for some users in WhatsApp for iOS version 2.18.21, as spotted by @WABetaInfo in Twitter.
WhatsApp has been officially integrated with UPI back in July 2017. Google Tez has been really successful so it would be really awesome to see the competition between WhatsApp payments and Google Tez. The plus point with WhatsApp is that it already has a huge audience of 1.5 billion.
Samsung’s Midrange Devices to Come with Full-Screen OLED Design
According to a recent report from “The Investor” from the Samsung’s home country, the tech giant indicates that it will soon be bringing the flexible OLED displays to its midrange devices. This is a very smart move from Samsung to increase its revenue from the Samsung displays. The Samsung’s infinity display concept can be only seen on the S8, S8+ and the Note 8. Now the all-new Galaxy S9 is also expected to be launched with the similar design within a span of few days.
As the Galaxy S series are the flagships models, these are not affordable by the average consumer. Now there might be a reason behind Samsung introducing these display to the midrange devices, and that could probably be because of Apple. The tech giant Apple said that they have reduced the orders of Samsung’s OLED panels and now Samsung is left with a large inventory of displays.
You can now figure out this logic all by yourself. Coming back, though Samsung puts in the OLED displays in the midrange models we are still not sure yet if these devices will come with a affordable price tag or not. There are many manufactures out there who are not getting the OLED displays in the midrange segment for one obvious reason, the cost. So now it would be really interesting to see at what price is Samsung offering these devices, we need to wait till the official launches of all these devices to see the official pricing. What are your views? Would this device be coming with a premium price tag, or the affordable tag?
Xiaomi’s Upcoming Flagship Mi 7 to Feature FaceID like Facial Recognition Hardware
Xiaomi’s all-new Mi 7 is rumored to come with the all new facial recognition technology and also with the wireless charging capabilities. This device was expected to be announced at the Mobile World Conference, but Xiaomi has delayed its launch. According to the latest reports, the reason being behind this delay is because of the new sensors which are being used in this advanced facial recognition service.
Back then in the month of January, Xiaomi has officially confirmed to bring the wireless charging support in its next flagship device, and that could probably be the Mi 7. Apart from the wireless charging and facial recognition features, the device is also rumored to feature a glass sandwich design along with a metallic frame. Talking about the specifications, Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Mi 7 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, and is coupled up with 8GB of RAM which is insane.
The device sports a 5.65 inch full HD+ display which comes with a resolution of 2160*1080P display. Out of the box the device runs on Android Oreo and the device comes with an insane 4,480 mAh battery which also supports wireless charging. Xiaomi follows the trend, and the device features a rear dual camera setup, and a 16MP front camera. The pricing of the device seems to be very competitive, rumors suggest that the device will be priced around Rs.30,000, we will be getting the official price pretty soon as the launch of the device is just a couple of months away.
Moto Done with C Series? New Report Suggests that E5 Play will be its Replacement
Motorola had ventured into the entry level market with the Moto C series last year. The company launched two models- the Moto C and C Plus. The results were satisfactory, but it seems that Moto has other plans.
Moto Fan and popular leakster Andri Yatim has claimed that no Moto C phone would be launched this year. Mediatek chips have been widely criticised. This seems to be the reason for the cancellation. Furthermore, he has said that the E5 Play would serve as a replacement for the cut off model.
Moto E5 Play is already leaked . The device has an 16:9 display, which does not stick with latest trends. Moreover, it has a front flash which might signify Moto’s emphasis on front camera quality.
This aligns up with the fact that no Moto C leaks have been out yet. However, this may also mean that Moto will have only four series to their name. This includes the budget E series, mid-range G series, premium X series and the flagship Z series.
The leakster has also informed us that Moto is cutting down the C series because of lower sales. It appears that the Moto C and C Plus was not at all profitable. The Moto C was released last year with the Mediatek MT6737M processor and a rather small 2350 mAh battery. At the same time, the higher end Moto C Plus had the better MT6737 processor and a big 4000 mAh of RAM. However, Moto seemed to have missed the power efficiency factor on both smartphones.
Motorola is now gearing up to launch some serious stuff at MWC 2018. We expect the brand new Z3, X5 and G6 lineup for one, and the company might even get us some new mods !. The new Moto devices have already been leaked, and you can take a look at them here.
