Vivo Z3 Launched in China. Comes in Two Variants, SD670 &SD710!

After launching the Vivo Z3i, Vivo has now launched the new Vivo Z3 in its home country that too surprisingly in two different variants having different chipsets at an aggressive price. Let us talk about the device in detail.

The Vivo Z3 features a 6.3-inch display with a Full-HD+ resolution of 1080×2280 pixels display in a 19:9 aspect ratio. The display comes with a waterdrop Notch which adds to an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 90.3 %.

Interestingly, the device comes in two different variants namely the Vivo Z3 V1813BA which is powered by the Snapdragon 670 SoC, along with 4GB of RAM, and the Vivo Z3 V1813DA which comes with a Snapdragon 710 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM. It is available in two storage configurations including 64GB and 128GB and also has the support for further expansion up to 256GB using a MicroSD card.

In the optics department, the phone gets a dual camera set up at the back which includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor having a f/2.0 aperture followed by a 2-megapixel secondary sensor that bears an aperture of f/2.4. Further, we have a 12-megapixel dual pixel sensor at the front along with a f/2.0 aperture assisted by AI-based Selfie features to adjust lighting and enhance portrait shots automatically.

Moreover, the device has a fingerprint scanner at the rear along with a full-fledged Face Unlock feature boasts to detect 1,204 facial features using an infrared light to unlock the screen. Other features include the Jovi Voice assistant.

On the software front, the Vivo Z3, as usual, runs on FunTouch OS based on Android 8.1 Oreo and gets its juice from a 3,315mAh battery. The smartphone gets 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB along with OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as connectivity options.

The Vivo Z3 price is priced at CNY 1,598 (roughly Rs. 16,900) for the Snapdragon 670 variant that has 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage, while its Snapdragon 710 model along with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is tipped at CNY 1,898 (roughly Rs. 20,100), while the same Snapdragon 710 variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs CNY 2,298 (roughly Rs. 24,400) in China. Let us see if the device comes to India. It also needs to be pointed out that the phone does look almost the same as the recently launched Vivo V11 Pro.

OPPO A7 launched with SD450, Water-drop notch and 4,230mAh battery

The Chinese smartphone giant OPPO has now unveiled a new sibling of the Oppo A7X, dubbed as Oppo A7 in multiple Asian markets such as China, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The device is basically a toned-down version of the aforementioned and comes with a water-drop notch, glass back design and a large battery.

To be more specific, the China-only variant of the phone bears a glossy finish whereas the non-Chinese edition of the smartphone has a textured finish at back.

Talking of the specifications, the OPPO A7 comes with a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio, aiding to a screen-to-body ratio of 88.3 per cent. The display further incorporates an anti-reflective coating and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB/ 4GB of RAM, and 32GB/ 64GB of onboard storage which can be expanded further up to 256GB using a MicroSD card. (Chinese market will get only the 4GB RAM model).

In the optics department, the phone bears an AI-powered dual camera set up at the back, featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor (f/2.2 aperture) and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor (f/2.4 aperture), along with an HDR-enabled 16-megapixel selfie shooter at the front. It can capture studio-quality portrait shots with bokeh effect through AI beauty technology and also supports multi-frame image stabilization technology for recording vivid videos.

The Oppo A7 runs on ColorOS 5.2 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and gets its fuel from a large 4,230mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Micro-USB with OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors included onboard are the accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. Lastly, the phone measures 155.9×75.4×8.1mm and weighs 168 grams.

Coming to the price, the handset is tipped at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 16,500) for its sole 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variant and will be available in Fresh Powder, Lake Light Green, and Amber Gold colour options starting from Nov 22 as of Chinese market. On the other hand, it is priced at NPR 35,790 (roughly Rs. 22,200) for the 3GB RAM +32GB storage configuration with an option to choose from Glaring Gold and Glaze Blue colours, in Nepal. Vivo Z1 Lite Launched in China. Comes with 6.26 inch Display & SD626!

Vivo today expanded its portfolio by launching the Vivo Z1 Lite smartphone in China. The device was up for pre-orders since November 1 and is a more affordable version of the Vivo Z1 launched this year. Though it sports similar looks, it comes with lower specifications to make up for the cheaper price tag. It was speculated that the phone is going to be launched as Vivo Z1 Youth.

As for the specs, the Vivo Z1 Lite  sports a 6.26 inch LCD display with a resolution of FHD+ (1080 x 2290 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 19:9 because of a top notch. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded up tp 256GB via microSD card.

In the optics department, the Vivo Z1 Lite features a rear dual camera setup of 16MP + 2MP with LED flash while offering a 16MP at the front with f/2.0 aperture. It comes with modes like Pro mode, Panorama, beauty, AR shoot, backlight photo, blur photo, slow mo, filter and more. The handset runs on FunTouch OS on top of Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3,260 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Dual SIM and GPS while sensors onboard include accelerometer facial recognition, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor and a fingerprint sensor at the back. It measures 154,81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm and weighs 149,3 grams.

The Vivo Z1 Lite comes at a price tag of CNY 1,098 (Rs 11,500) and is available in Aurora Purple, Black and Red color options from the Chinese Vivo official online store.

Vivo Y95 Announced in Philippines Silently. Comes with SD 439 & 6.22 inch Halo Notch Display

Vivo today silently launched the Vivo Y95 smartphone in Philippines. The retail box of the device was leaked earlier. It comes with a small waterdrop notch similar to the recently launched Vivo V11 and V11 Pro.

The Vivo Y95 features a 6.22 inch Halo FullView display with a resolution of HD+ (1520 x720 pixels). Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset paired with an Adreno 505 GPU. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be further expanded by microSD card.

In the optics department, it sports a dual camera setup in the rear of 13MP + 5MP while offering a 20MP at the front. The cameras come with AI features first seen in the V11 series which can determine the age, gender, tone and texting of the skin and lightning and automatically improves the facial features with the algorithm.

It runs on FunTouch OS based on Android 8.1 Oreo and comes with an updated AI Game Mode, Jovi AI and Google Lens. The advance game mode combines with artificial intelligence to save popular functions such as pop-up notifications, background calls and gaming keyboard. It is backed by a 4,030 mAh battery supported by an exclusive power management system. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC.

It is available in Star Black and Red Dawn colour variants and comes at a price tag of $265 (Rs 18,500 approx). It is currently available only in Philippines but is expected to launch soon into other markets including India.
