vivo z1i leaked

Vivo has recently unveiled its new Vivo Z1 smartphone last month in China. It came with Snapdragon 660 SoC and a 6.26-inch notched display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Now, as per latest leaks, it seems that Vivo is planning to launch yet another smartphone in its mid-range Z series which is said to be named Vivo Z1i.

Vivo Z1i

The Vivo Z1i appears to be the toned-down version of the Z1 and the leaked image of the device looks very similar to the same. Looking at the pictures, one can’t really say if the device sports a Notch. Nevertheless, we can confirm the presence of notch due to the fact that the leaked specifications hint towards a 6.28-inch display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio, which is generally the case with smartphones having a notched display.

Under the hood, the Vivo Z1i is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with Adreno 509 GPU, alongside 4GB of  RAM and 128GB of onboard storage which is twice the 64GB storage on the Z1.

In the Optics department, the device sports a Dual Camera setup at the back, featuring a 13MP primary and a 2MP secondary shooter which again, is similar to the Z1. On the Selfie front, the Z1i relies on a 16MP shooter.

The device runs on FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. In addition to the fingerprint scanner, the face unlock feature is given as well. All this is backed by a 3180mAh battery which is relatively smaller than Z1’s 3260mAh battery capacity.

The Vivo Z1i is reported to be launched on 2nd July in China at a price of CNY1998, surprisingly more than that of Z1 which comes with a much powerful hardware at just CNY1798. Even though the leak seems legit, we should take this information with a grain of salt and wait for official announcement from Vivo. Till then, Stay tuned.

OPPO A7 Specs Leaked. Comes SD450 & 6.2 inch 720p Display

Chinese manufacturer OPPO recently launched the OPPO A7X in its home market. Now, it looks like the company is gearing up for the launch of the OPPO A7. Today, the leak revealing all the specifications of the smartphone has surfaced online.

From the leak spec sheet, OPPO A7 will feature a 6.2 inch notched display with a resolution of HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 19:9. But it’s still unclear whether the phone will come with an iPhone X like notch or a waterdrop one like on OPPO F9. Under the hood, it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset paired with Adreno 506 coupled with 3GB or 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded to 256GB via microSD card.

In the optics department, the OPPO A7 comes with dual camera setup in the rear consisting of a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 2MP camera with f/2.4 aperture.  On the front it offers a 16MP camera for selfies and video calling. It runs on ColourOS 5.2 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 4,230 mAh battery. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB OTG and microUSB. The handset will be available in Glazing Blue and Glaring Gold color options.

To sum it up, the OPPO A7 is just a rebranded Realme 2 with minor difference in the camera configuration and probably in the design aspects of the smartphone. The Realme 2 was launched last month with a price at Rs 8990. The OPPO A7 is expected to come with a similar price.

Huawei Mate 20

The Chinese giant Huawei has confirmed the launch of its new Mate 20 series, featuring Huawei Mate 20, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Huawei Mate 20 Lite on October 16th in London. We already have witnessed quite a lot of leaks about the Mate 20 Pro and the Mate 20 Lite (Officially Launched) in leaked images and renders. Now, we have come across a leaked hands-on video of the Mate 20.

The hands-on video posted on Weibo showcases the front and back of the upcoming Huawei Mate 20. It looks more or less similar to the Mate 20 Pro leaks but with a few worth noting differences.

You can have a look at the video below:

As per the video, the back of the device sports a 3D curved glass back body with a triple camera setup placed in a squircle module with an LED flash, just like the Mate 20 Pro. Just below the cameras, we have a fingerprint scanner following which, the branding is given at the bottom. However, the brand name written on the phone is “HYRION” instead of Huawei which seems quite weird.

The device was also leaked in a set of official case renders, take a look:

At the front, the device has an edge to edge bezel-less display with a water drop notch on the top (as seen on Oppo F9 Pro and the upcoming OnePlus 6T) and a bottom chin. Even when the device does not come with a Huawei branding, its design and EMUI’s lock screen confirms it to be a Huawei smartphone. The power button and Volume rockers are placed on the right edge.

As per the previous leaks, the Mate 20 Pro is reported to come with an In-display fingerprint scanner and an IR based Face unlock system at the front, which seems to be missing from the Mate 20, given that it already has a physical fingerprint scanner at the back and the Notch is too small to accommodate anything more than the Selfie camera.

As far as the specs are concerned, the Mate 20 will come with Huawei’s new HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC built on 7nm Finfet process by TSMC like the latest A12 Bionic chip used by Apple in the just-launched iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

Let us wait for the October 16 launch to know exact information about both the Huawei flagships. Till then, stay tuned.

samsung galaxy a7 2018

Samsung recently announced they will be focusing on bringing new technology and innovation to its mid-range devices before its flagships.  A new report hints that Samsung will keep true to its word.

A new hands-on image and a press renders of the Galaxy A7 (2018) surfaced online showing it will sport a triple camera setup in the rear, the first time ever for a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. It not only raises the bar of mid-range smartphones but giving a positive nod to the upcoming S10 series next year.

Take a look at the renders:

Here’s the hands on image that was re[prted:

The triple camera like the one seen on Huawei P20 Pro suggests that it will feature up to 3X optical zoom. But since it is a mid-range device, the company may opt for a 2X lossless zoom instead of a 3X one. A wide-angle lens similar to the LG flagships is also expected. It will likely come with OIS, EIS and support for 4K video recording at 30fps.

This is not the first time the vertical three lens camera has been leaked. It was rumoured far back as July and is speculated to have similar specs to last year’s Galaxy A8 Plus that was powered by an Exynos 7885 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

There is also a rumour that the handset will come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Samsung new liking for the side mounted fingerprint sensor is not limited to this device, it can be seen in the Galaxy S10 (base variant) as well as the  Galaxy J6 Plus and the Galaxy J4 Plus. The renders show a slight indent when looked closely confirming the speculations.

Samsung has been teasing the smartphone with taglines related to cameras like “Capture the fun with Samsung” and “4X fun” hinting the four cameras. The Galaxy A7 (2018) will be unveiled at an event on October 11.
