Vivo has recently unveiled its new Vivo Z1 smartphone last month in China. It came with Snapdragon 660 SoC and a 6.26-inch notched display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Now, as per latest leaks, it seems that Vivo is planning to launch yet another smartphone in its mid-range Z series which is said to be named Vivo Z1i.
The Vivo Z1i appears to be the toned-down version of the Z1 and the leaked image of the device looks very similar to the same. Looking at the pictures, one can’t really say if the device sports a Notch. Nevertheless, we can confirm the presence of notch due to the fact that the leaked specifications hint towards a 6.28-inch display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio, which is generally the case with smartphones having a notched display.
Under the hood, the Vivo Z1i is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with Adreno 509 GPU, alongside 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage which is twice the 64GB storage on the Z1.
In the Optics department, the device sports a Dual Camera setup at the back, featuring a 13MP primary and a 2MP secondary shooter which again, is similar to the Z1. On the Selfie front, the Z1i relies on a 16MP shooter.
The device runs on FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. In addition to the fingerprint scanner, the face unlock feature is given as well. All this is backed by a 3180mAh battery which is relatively smaller than Z1’s 3260mAh battery capacity.
The Vivo Z1i is reported to be launched on 2nd July in China at a price of CNY1998, surprisingly more than that of Z1 which comes with a much powerful hardware at just CNY1798. Even though the leak seems legit, we should take this information with a grain of salt and wait for official announcement from Vivo. Till then, Stay tuned.
Leaked Honor 10 Lite TV Commercial reveals front and rear design
Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is all set to unveil the new Honor 10 Lite smartphone on November 21st, making it less than a week far from the official launch. Earlier, we saw the device and its specs on TENAA, and now the phone is spotted in its first TV Commercial, revealing the front and rear design.
According to the commercial, the upcoming Honor 10 Lite sports a water drop notch at the front and a vertically stacked pair of segregated cameras at the back, summing up for a design reminiscent to the recently launched Honor 8X Max. The phone is advertised with “no gradient means no youth” quote, and hence it bears a glossy glass back with gradient colour options including a blue-white gradient along with a “Passionate Red” version.
The device shown in advertisement lacks any branding on the back and has a clean look which we think won’t be the case with the retail version. Moreover, the fingerprint scanner is given at the median and the power, as well as volume buttons, are placed on the right frame.
You can have a look at the video below:
As for the specs, the previous leaks including the TENAA listing suggested that this Honor 9 Lite successor will come with a 6.21-inch IPS LCD panel having a Full-HD+ resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the Honor 10 Lite will be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710/659 along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (more variants expected) which can also be expanded up to 256GB using the given Micro SDcard slot. Furthermore, it will pack in dual 13+2MP Rear cameras and a 24MP Front Camera. Both the shooters will incorporate nifty AI features, as seen on previous Huawei/Honor phones.
On the software front, it will run EMUI 9.0 and will be backed by a 3,200mAh battery with lack of any fast charging support. Lastly, the phone will weigh 162 grams and will have a 154.7 x 73.6 x 8 mm body.
Not to forget, the device was also spotted in a special “Supreme Edition” with red colour and Sup branding at the back, hinting at Honor’s partnership with the famous American Clothing brand Supreme, following the same, the company may also launch this limited edition phone later at a higher price. That being said, let’s wait for the phone to land in Beijing on 21st of November. Till then, stay tuned.
