After launching the Vivo X23, Vivo has launched another smartphone in China. Dubbed as the Vivo Y97,it is a mid-range smartphones with an all glass exterior. The Chinese manufacturer says the back features a 3D micro-arc design with a unique mirror finish that provides a better grip when holding the device. If you look closely, this phone is basically the recently launched Vivo V11i, with a different name and small differences.
As for the features, the Vivo Y97 features a 6.3 inch Super AMOLED display with a water drop notch. It comes with a resolution of HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.3. It is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek’s Helio P60 chipset. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that can be expanded with a microSD card up to 256GB.
In the optics department, the device sports a dual camera setup at the rear of 16MP + 2MP while offering a 16MP camera at the front for selfies and video calling. Both the rear and front cameras come with AI assisted features and various modes. It also includes Face Unlocking and IR sensor so that users can unlock the smartphone in low-light conditions.
The Vivo Y97 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with company’s own FunTouch custom UI on top and AI-powered Jovi smart assistant. It is backed by a 3,240 mAh battery and comes with a Game Mode 4.0 to provide immersive gaming experience. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, Dual SIM, 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
The Vivo Y97 comes with a price tag of 1,998 Yuan (Rs 21,000 approx) and is available in Starry Night, Dream powder (Pink) and Aurora Blue color options.
