Vivo Y93 Leaked. To be the First Phone powered by Snapdragon 439!

It appears like Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has come up with a new smartphone in the budget segment. The leaks claim that the device would be named Vivo Y93 and the key design aspects, specifications of the device have been leaked.

If the rumors turn out to be true, the Vivo Y93 will be the first ever smartphone to feature the  Snapdragon 439 processor. The SD439 has eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.95GHz, Adreno 505 GPU and LTE Snapdragon X6 Modem. Snapdragon 439 is the first 12 nm processor from Qualcomm. In addition to the specification leaks, the device has also passed through TENAA, a Chinese certification authority. There will be two variants for the device namely V1818A and V1818T.

The Vivo Y93 will feature a 6.2-inch HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and water drop notch on top. There will be 4 GB of RAM coupled with 64 GB of internal storage. The handset measures 155.11mm x 75.09mm x 8.28mm and weighs 163.5g. The Vivo Y93 will be available in Zixia Red, Starry Night Black color variants to choose from.

In terms of camera, there will be a dual rear camera setup where the primary sensor is a 13 MP one and a secondary 2MP sensor. On the front, there will be an 8 MP sensor for taking selfies. The device draws juice from a 3935mAh battery and will run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

There is no physical fingerprint sensor on the device. Chances for an in-display fingerprint unlocking mechanism is doubtful since the device is a budget-oriented smartphone. The handset would probably rely on a face recognition system.

November 15 is the expected launch date and will be available to purchase at a price tag of 1,498 Yuan which roughly translates to around $215. The device will make its appearance first in China followed by the company’s decision to launch the handset in other markets.
