Vivo, the company which revolutionized the smartphone ecosystem by bringing their first ever smartphone with an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, the Vivo X21 UD (which is coming to India by the end of this month) and the almost full screen design with their Vivo Apex concept, now seems to be pushing their limit a little beyond. ‘Vivo X21’ is the name of the smartphone which got the privilege of this technology, and which according to many reports suggests that very soon it’s going to get unveiled in India as well apart from China. However, the company also seems to be bringing an improved & affordable successor of this device called Vivo X21i. Which was allegedly spotted a day before yesterday at Geekbench, where it got listed with few specs.
Besides that, another report was coming from a China telecom website, where the device is apparently having a specific product page which reveals pretty much every nooks and crannies of it. Which makes all the showering rumors to an end.
Now, as per as the specs shows, the Vivo X21i will have a large 6.28-inch FHD+ display with the aspect ratio of 18:9 and 1080 x 2280 resolution. And sadly it’ll be occupied with a notch at the top of the display, it’ll be running on a MediaTek Helio P60 processor clocked at 2.0GHz which is an octa-core processor with ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU, which will be coupled with a 6 GB RAM and a 64 GB onboard storage capacity which can also be expandable up to 256GB by inserting a Micro SD card.
A vertical dual camera set up along a fingerprint sensor will be seen at the back among which one will be a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary sensor 5-megapixel. And it won’t be surprising to see a 24-megapixel selfie camera as the company emphasize a little bit more on the selfie camera, additionally, the device also sports an IRIS scanner on the front for secure authentication.
The device will be based on Vivo’s native Funtouch OS 4.0 on top of the Android 8.1 Oreo, and which will be weighing 159g and has a 3,170 mAh battery along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack out of the box.
The device will be available in three different colors – Ruby Red, Aurora White, and Polar Night Black. However, as per the pricing and availability is concerned Vivo X21i is going to launch exclusively in China on May 19. It is going to be priced around CNY2,698 (roughly Rs. 28749).

Samsung might be working on a Gaming Phone!
Gaming smartphones are on the rise with more and more manufacturers developing their own gaming smartphone. The latest company to join this list is Samsung, who is reported to have already started working on its gaming smartphone which will be directly competing against the ones present in the market. The source comes from an insider according to whom the company will make the device as par with the latest standards.
There is currently very less information available about the smartphone, but it is speculated that recently leaked Galaxy A series phone is none other than this one. If this is true, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 64GB, 128GB and 256GB internal storage.
The South Korean electronics giant is said to avoid using LED lights on the back of the device and instead use a more generic design like the Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A9. It is also rumoured to come with a tall Infinity display with a glass and aluminium body alongside.
Gaming smartphones usually come with a cooling system and this upcoming handset will no different. Samsung has already showcased their Water Carbon cooling system in the Galaxy Note 9. As for the launch date, the Samsung gaming smartphone is expected to be unveiled in November.
The company is also stated to bring a new display technology that will be a solution to the notched displays. Twitter user Ice Universe spotted Samsung announcing a new AMOLED display technology during its OLED Forum conference in China. The display will include a fingerprint scanner, sound, haptics and under panel sensor (UPS) which eliminating the need of a notch.
Huawei is developing its own gaming centric device under Huawei brand (they already have one under Honor, Honor Play). Samsung gaming phone will be competing against the likes of Xiaomi Black Shark 2, ASUS ROG phone and Nubia Red Magic.
