Vivo Nex

The Vivo NEX was launched in China two weeks ago. It was one of the few smartphones that actually had something innovative and was a matter of talks since its concept variant, Vivo Apex. Surprisingly, Vivo India has confirmed its Indian arrival way earlier, at the time when the device was showcased as a concept in MWC 2018.

Now, Vivo India has confirmed the exact launch date of Vivo NEX in India. The brand has already sent out the press invites for the launch event which mentions the device along with its launch scheduled for July 19th.

Vivo Nex

The launch of this flagship in India seems to be delayed by few weeks due to the fact that it was planned somewhere in June. As of now, it is hard to tell that which variants will be coming to India.

Talking about the Specifications, both the Vivo Nex A and Nex S sport a nearly bezel-less 5.9-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 19.3:9 aspect ratio. The more premium Nex S is powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM. It comes in two variants offering 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage. On the other hand, the Nex A packs a less powerful Snapdragon 710 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The retractable 8MP front-facing shooter comes with an aperture of f/2.0 and pops up using the motorised slider, whenever required.

The main USP of the Vivo Nex S is its in-display fingerprint sensor which was the sole purpose of showcasing the Vivo Apex earlier. At the software front, both the models run on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. All this is backed by a large 4000mAh battery that supports 22.5W Fast Charging.

Given that it is one of the most innovative pieces of tech from Vivo, a premium price tag is confirmed. The top end variant is expected to be priced above 50,000 INR in India. Though we don’t have exact figures, we will keep you updated with the latest information, Stay tuned.

The complete specification and the price of the device will likely be announced at the launch. The availability of the smartphone in other countries like India may also be confirmed during the launch. With that being said, let’s wait for the future leaks and reports to reveal more about the phone. Till then, stay tuned.

Vivo is preparing to unveil their latest offering in it’s Y series, the ivo y81i in India soon. The reports suggesting the Indian launch of Y81i comes shortly after Vivo has announced the Vivo Y95 earlier this month in Vietnam. According to a report, the Vivo Y81i could hit the Indian market in a few weeks. The Vivo Y81i was first announced in Malaysia, and there was a different but similar phone, Vivo Y81 which was launched earlier in Vietnam.

Coming to the design, the Vivo Y81i comes with a notched display. The overall design looks similar to the Vivo Y81. While it comes with a notched FullView display, there is no dual camera offering on the Vivo Y81i, indicating that Vivo will be placing it as an entry level smartphone.

In the display department, the Vivo Y81i features a 6.22-inch FullView HD+ display with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels. By using the FullView display, Vivo has managed to achieve 87.9 percent screen to body ratio in the Y81i. As usual with Vivo, the smartphone comes with a Mediatek SoC. It is powered by the Mediatek MT6761 processor, which is infact a toned down version of the MT6762 Helio P22 SoC. It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is less by today’s standards.
