Vivo Y93 Launched in India Silently. Comes with Helio P22 & 4030mAh battery.




Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has launched the Vivo Y93 in India. The device has been listed on the company’s official website. It appears like the Vivo Y93s which got launched in China earlier is launched in India as Vivo Y93, the device was also leaked earlier. A separate launch event was not held for the launch of this device.

Coming to the specifications, the Vivo Y93 features a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS In-Cell display with 1520 x 720 pixel resolution. The handset measures 155.11 x 75.09 x 8.28 mm and it weighs 163.5 grams. Under the hood, it is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P22 chipset. It is coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which is further expandable with the help of a micro SD card slot.

There will be a dual 13 MP + 2 MP rear camera setup with  f/2.2 and f/2.4 aperture respectively. There is a waterdrop notch on top which holds the front camera which is an 8 MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture. Jovi Smart Scene assistant is present on the device.

The handset draws juice from a massive 4,030mAh battery. The drawback is that it does not support fast charging which would result in longer charge times. It runs on FunTouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo which is another let down as most of the devices are launching in the market with Android Pie out of the box.

The color options of the handset are Starry Black and Nebula Purple. The pricing of the handset has not been revealed by the company yet. It is expected to cost around Rs. 12,000. Now that the device has got listed on the website, we expect it to happen soon. Till then, stay tuned for updates.
