Looking out for the most affordable budget device with the Dual camera and 4G LTE? Here you go then, Swipe has launched its new device named Swipe Elite Dual which is competitively priced at Rs.3,999 only. This year was all about dual cameras and all the mobile phone manufactures are launching affordable dual camera smartphones under the budget segment.

But today, Swipe beats em’ all, the company has today launched the Swipe Elite Dual in India. This comes with a dual rear camera, the primary one is an 8MP shooter and the secondary one is a 2MP shooter which comes with autofocus capabilities. For the all the selfie freaks out there, the device does come with a front 5MP shooter.

“Keeping in mind the demands and needs of the audience, and the latest trends we are glad to bring Elite Dual at such an affordable rate. We foresee that Swipe shall bring a change in the mobile photography market of India with the launch of this most affordable dual camera smartphone,”

said Shripal, CEO of Swipe.

Talking about the specs of this device, it sports a 5-inch display and the resolutions are not known yet, but the good thing is that the display is guarded by the shatter-proof glass. The device is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core and is coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device offers you 8GB of internal storage, but then again, it can also be expanded using a micro SD card.

The good thing is that the device does comes with 4G LTE and also with basic features such as WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS as well. Out of the box, the device runs on Android Nougat and the device offers you 3,000 mAh of battery. Talking about the price, the device is priced at just Rs.3,999 and the device is a ShopClues exclusive, the sales will be starting right tomorrow.

LG silently launches X5 2018 in South Korea, Comes with Massive 4500mAh Battery!

South Korean manufacturer LG today listed  the LG X5 2018 smartphone in their official website. It is the latest version to the predecessor LG X5 which was launched back in 2016. The smartphone bears  big bezels on the top and bottom and has a touch electrostatic type body . The volume rocker is placed left while the power button is placed on the right side.

 

 

It features a 5.5 inch LCD display with a resolution of HD (1280 x 720 pixels) and is  powered by a 64-bit Octa-core MediaTek MT 6750 chipset clocked a 1.5GHz. It is coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded with a microSD card. It measures 154.7 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm and weighs 171 g. There is a circular fingerprint sensor at the rear .

 

In the optics department, the LG X5 sports a 5MP selfie sensor  with LED flash at the front while offering a 13MP sensor at the rear placed on the centre with an LED flash.  It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and is backed by a 4,500 mAh battery. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual band), NFC .It also supports LG Pay, the company’s mobile payment service.  Additionally it corresponds to LTE UE Category 4, which claims download speed upto 150 Mbps, HD DMB which is the terrestrial digital broadcasting band in Korea.

The X5 is currently available in only one variant, Moroccan Blue and comes at a price tag of 3,63,000 Korean won (Rs 22,500 approx).  It will be sold through Korean mobile operator (MNO) SK Telecom, KT, LG (U +). There is no official word s of now about the global launch of the smartphone.

Asus relaunches Zenfone AR as Zenfone Ares in Taiwan

Last year in June, Asus launched the Zenfone AR smartphone. The device didn’t do so well so in a hurry to finish the stocks, the Tawiwase smartphone manufacturer reduced the price and relaunched it as Asus Zenfone Ares.  The specs are similar to the Zenfone AR but comes with a different model number ZS572KL.

The Asus Zenfone Ares features a 5.7 inch AMOLED display with a 16:9 aspect ratio resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The display comes with fingerprint and oil repellent antifouling coating and Tru2life technology to improve outdoor visibility. The product name also appeared on Google ARCore developer page which confirms ARCore functionality and compatibility with Zenfone AR.

 

The device sports a 23MP PixelMaster 3.0 high-resolution lens with motion tracking and depth sensing which can capture third dimensional information providing AR and VR related features. On the front it offers an 8 MP camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset with Ardeno 530. It has only one memory variant of 8GB LPDDR4 RAM and UFS 2.0 128GB internal storage which can be upgraded up to 2TB via a microSD card. It runs on Android Nougat and is backed by a non removable 3300 mAh battery with support for Quick charge 3.0 technology

The smartphone also comes with advance sound technologies like SonicMaster 3.0, Hi-Res Audio 384kHz, DTS Headphone:X 7.1 channel surrounding sound, speaker horn five magnet technology and more. Connectivity features include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC while sensors onboard include accelerometer, electronic compass, proximity sensor, gyroscope, barometer and a fingerprint sensor which supports fingerprint payment. It measures 158.67 x 77.4 x 8.95 mm and weighs 170 g.

It comes at a price tag of NTD 9900 (INR 22.5K) which is a lot less copared to ZenFone AR’s original pricing of NTD 24,990 (INR 56.7K). It is available through local e-retailers like FriDay and pChrome and there’s no word in international launch for the phone.

Micromax Canvas 2 Plus (2018) Launched, Counting on Nostalgia?

Micromax, the homegrown smartphone company has come up with the new Micromax Canvas 2 Plus (2018), after quite a long time since it launched the original Canvas 2 and Canvas 2 Plus. The new Micromax Canvas 2 Plus (2018) features an 18:9 display to match up with the current trend, and packs a big battery. The phone is priced at Rs. 8,999 and it will be available via offline retail stores in India.

In terms of specifications, the Micromax Canvas 2 Plus is a dual SIM phone featuring 5.7-inch HD+ IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled with 3GB of DDR3 RAM and 32GB storage, that can be expanded using a microSD card.

In terms of camera, the phone sports a 13-megapixel 80-degree wide-angle camera on the back with an LED flash and there are features like Beauty mode, Time Lapse, and Watermark. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera with Beauty mode and Portrait mode. There is also a front-facing soft LED light for clear selfies under low lighting conditions.

Connectivity options on the phone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and FM radio. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back, though Micromax has provided the Face Unlock on this device to match up with the current trend. The phone runs Android Nougat out of the box and packs a 4000mAh battery. It will be available in two color variants- Jet Black and Matte Black color options.
