Sony Mobiles unveiled its Sony Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra smartphones earlier this year, at CES 2018. Yes, Sony hasn’t stopped making phones yet! As per the new reports, it seems that the company is gearing up to launch the new mid-rangers namely Sony Xperia XA3 and Xperia XA3 Ultra as a successor to these phones. The device has appeared in 360-degree Video and CAD Renders showcasing a few of the features and design, ahead of the official launch.
As per the leaked renders and reports, the Sony Xperia XA3 looks a lot modern compared to its predecessors, thanks to the relatively small top and bottom bezels, there is no curved or edge to edge feel to the sides though. The device comes in a typical rectangular design and the earpiece and front camera reside above the display while the bottom chin carries Sony branding.
At the back, we have horizontally stacked dual camera setup which protrudes a bit followed by a dual LED flash above the camera module. As usual, the fingerprint scanner resides on the power button leaving the rest of the back empty. All the three buttons including Power, Camera shutter and Volume rockers are given to the right. The phone still retains the 3.5mm headphone jack and relies on USB type C for charging.
You can also have a look at the 360-degree renders below:
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Sony Xperia XA3 is expected to sport an almost 5.9-inches IPS LCD Display with a Full-HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels in an 18:9 aspect ratio. Further, the device will measure 155.7 x 68.3 x 8.4mm (Excluding the 5mm protrusion of the camera-module).
Under the hood, the Xperia XA3 expected to carry Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE SoC (XA2 has Snapdragon 630), coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of the Internal storage. Connectivity options like Wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, 4G VoLTE will be present on-board. On the software front, the Xperia XA3 is most likely to run on Android Pue out of the box.
This is the only information we have about the device as of now, battery capacity is yet to be known. The device is expected to be launched by the company later this year or at CES 2019. Till then stay tuned.
