Sony is finally planning to unveil to launch a successor for the Xperia L2 which got launched last year. The device is scheduled to be launched in Mobile World Congress (MWC 2019) which will be held in Barcelona.
The Sony Xperia L3 is certainly a bump in terms of specifications when compared with its predecessor L2 which is definitely outdated at this point. We have seen leaked CAD renders of the L3 in the past. Key specifications, renders, and the expected price of the Xperia L3 has leaked online today.
According to the sources, the upcoming Xperia L3 will feature a 5.7-inch display with 1440 x 720 pixel resolution. The display is of 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be equipped with 3 GB of RAM which will be coupled with 32 GB of internal storage. There is no information regarding the processor used in the device, but we expect it to be a mid-range Snapdragon one.
As far as the cameras are concerned, there is a dual rear camera setup on the handset along with an LED flash. The primary sensor will be a 13 MP one while the secondary sensor will be of 2 MP for portrait shots. On the front, an 8 MP camera will be present on the handset.
The bottom of the handset sports the speaker grill, USB type-C port, and the top will have the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side of the device. The handset will draw juice from a 3300 mAh battery. In terms of software, it will run on Android 8.1 Oreo which is quite disappointing as Google is gearing up for its Android Q release and shipping Android Oreo out of the box doesn’t seem to be a good move.
The pricing of the device is expected to be 199 euros which approximately equals to Rs.16,000. The availability will be known after the device gets launched. Till then, stay tuned for updates.
