Samsung has recently shown an innovative behaviour towards its Galaxy A-series, by launching the Galaxy A7 2018 with Triple rear cameras, followed by the recent Galaxy A9 (2018) with Quad rear cameras that too way before using it in its S and Note-series flagships. Following the same, the Korean giant is now thinking to raise the ante of its A-series further by bringing the Samsung Galaxy A8s with a display hole which will work as a substitute for Notch and will house the front camera.
The hint for the Galaxy A8s came from the company itself, during the launch event of Galaxy A9s and Galaxy A6s in China yesterday, on Wednesday, where it teased this new upcoming device as well. The device is most probably going to come with an edge-to-edge display with ultra-thin bezels (no bottom chin as per the teaser image), the front camera including ambient light and proximity sensors will be housed by the small hole present on the top corner of the display, rectifying the need of Notch for the purpose it’s being used.
Except for the basic design outline, the company didn’t reveal any other hardware specific things of the Galaxy A8s, however, they made it clear that this upcoming device will come with a “first-time adoption” technology.
The guys at SamMobile have also come up with the renders of the upcoming device which indicates that the hole will be drilled into the display to occupy the required things like a front shooter, proximity, ambient light and any other sensor maybe. Now, this is not a huge surprise to us because it has been already confirmed from previous reports that the company was working on various In-display technologies including In-display fingerprint scanner, under-screen cameras, screen-sound technology, and touch-sensitive technology. Further, it is also speculated that the A8s will make use of the screen as its earpiece for attending calls and more. Indeed, it is going to be an interesting thing to see.
The implementation of this new technology will allow Samsung to provide for a full-screen experience to its consumers without using Notch (which of course was hated by many). In the end, Samsung is a company with huge R&D and innovations in past, and we expect it to further revolutionize the mobile industry. Stay tuned for more updates.
Mi 9T Gets Certified in Thailand, Possibly a Pro Version of Mi 9!
Xiaomi sub-brand Mi has launched the flagship Mi 9 and variants such as Mi 9 Transparent Edition and Mi 9 SE earlier in 2019. These smartphones are yet to be launched in the major global markets but the Chinese manufacturer is already preparing for its next smartphone in the series: the alleged Mi 9T.
An unnamed Mi series smartphone with model number M190310G received certification from the NBTC regulatory database in Thailand. This is not the first time the smartphone has been spotted as it has already been certified by numerous regulatory agencies in the past like NCC, EEC, IMDA and FCC. The smartphone is speculated to be none other than the Xiaomi Mi 9T.
From the NTBC certification, there is much information about the device apart from its model number. However, the certification hints that it could be launch sometime soon. The company is yet to officially confirm the phone or release any teaser, which we expect to happen soon.
