After releasing the M-series, A-series and the flagship S-series earlier this year, Samsung’s next smartphone is expected to be the Galaxy Note 10. The Galaxy Note 10 will be the twelfth handset in the series since its debut back in 2011. It will be the successor to the Galaxy Note 9 and may be unveiled in August like the previous Note series devices. Now, 91Mobiles with partnership with popular tipster @onleaks has published CAD-based renders and 360-degree.

The published renders match with the information from the previous leaks. They reveal that Samsung will be retaining the punch hole design used in the Galaxy S10 series on the Galaxy Note 10 with a slight modification. The selfie hole on the Infinity-O display will be positioned in the center rather than the upper right corner.

The display measures 6.3 which makes smaller than the panel on its predecessor. There will be curved edges on both sides with extremely thin bezels on all four sides. It will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. We expect the South Korean manufacturer to use a Dynamic AMOLED panel with HDR10+ support and a resolution of 3040 x 1440 pixels.

Coming to the back, the smartphone sports a new look with a triple camera module. The three camera setup will debut in the Note series with the 2019 model with a new placement. It is arranged vertically in the top left corner with the LED flash placed near the first sensor. The handset will miss out a 3.5 mm headphone jack along with the Bixby button. Samsung has joined the list of the manufacturers like Apple, Google and OnePlus who killed off the dedicated audio jack from its flagship smartphones.

The left side of the device has the power button and volume rockers while the right side is kept empty. On the bottom side, there is a speaker grill, S-pen, mic and a USB Type-C port which users can use as an audio jack. The SIM card tray resides at the top alongside another mic and a IR blaster. It measures approximately 151 x 72 and 7.9 mm thickness which increases to 8.3 mm when the camera bump is included. According to @onleaks, the Galaxy Note 10 will feature a very thin metal plate that becomes a tad thicker at the buttons, similar to what we saw on the Galaxy S10 5G.

As for specifications, the Galaxy Note 10 is expected to have a Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9820 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and run Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. There have been rumors of the Pro version as well which will a larger 6.75 inch display, quad-camera setup that includes a ToF sensor, USB 3.0 and 45W fast charging support. The Galaxy Note 10 Pro variant will have capacitive or pressure-sensitive buttons instead of physical ones.

There is no word about the official launch date but we expect it to be announced sometime around next month. Till then, keep tuned.

Apple recently released the iOS 13 beta 7 to the developers. Today the company sent media invites for an upcoming event next month where it will unveil the iPhone 11 along with a new Apple watch.

iPhone 11

The invite informs that the special Apple event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino on September 10, 2019 from 9:00 AM.  The image shows the new square-shaped camera design in the background. This is not the first time we have heard about the September 10 launch event. An imaged labeled as “HoldForRelease” including the September 10 date was found in the recently released beta. Apple did a similar thing with the iOS 12 with the September 12 displayed on it last year.

Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones along with the new Apple watch. There have been also rumours from the supply chain about a 16-inch redesigned MacBook Pro but nothing is official. As for the iPhones, atleast one is expected to arrive with a triple-camera setup.

It is speculated that the iPhone XS successor will feature a slightly bigger 6.1-inch display and three rear cameras. Other reports suggest that the new camera array will be exclusive to the iPhone XS Max successor. Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo earlier suggested that the new iPhones would be equipped with reverse wireless charging.

A Twitter user name CoinX recently claimed that Apple will be going for the iPhone 11 Pro naming this year. The same user correctly revealed the iPhone XS a week before its launch last year. If the information is correct, then Apple is planning for an iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

There is no other information except for the location and date in the invite. We will be covering more from the launch event. Till then, keep tuned.

Oppo Reno2 With Quad Camera To Launch In India First, Camera Details Revealed!

Published

on

Oppo Reno is the latest flagship phone lineup from Oppo. After the first from the lineup, Oppo Reno was launched, it created a huge buzz in the smartphone users community. Just at the starting of this month, we came to know that Oppo is working on the next Reno, and also, we came to know that the phone will launch first in India. Today, more details have emerged and this time, the info we have right now is official.

However, at that time nothing was official. But today, Oppo has officially teased the next phone from Oppo Reno lineup. The phone is named Oppo Reno2, which is a bit of surprise as Oppo is named their phones in quite a complex way. Anyway, the Oppo Reno2 will be launched first in India, as speculated on August 28.

This is quite a big step for a brand like Oppo and this somehow indicates that the company is willing to trade on dangerous grounds by introducing flagship phones first in India. Here’s the teaser, in case you haven’t seen it yet.

The company, in the teaser, mentioned a thing or two about the special features of the phone. Oppo Reno2 will come with quad-camera setup on the back and will have 20x zoom. This is a huge leap from the current Oppo Reno smartphone, which has a 10x zoom. However, there is no word regarding what kind of technologies the company is using on the phone or which camera sensor is being used on Oppo Reno2.

But well, the official teaser wasn’t enough for smartphone enthusiasts it seems. An account by the name Fengchao Technology on Weibo, posted on China’s Facebook that the Oppo Reno2 will have a  48-megapixel primary camera. Along with it, there will be a 13-megapixel telephoto lens, which will offer a 20x zoom. He suggested that there will be an 8-megapixel super wide-angle lens and there will be a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. The 2-megapixel monochrome sensor is something pretty uncommon on smartphones.

Also, just now it has been brought to our notice that a new Oppo device bearing the PCKM70 model number has passed through China’s Compulsory Certification Agency (CCC). The listing reveals that the phone comes with Oppo’s proprietary VOOC 3.0 for 20W fast charging and supports 5G connectivity. As of now, as flagship phones are the only ones getting 5G support, so it won’t be surprising if Oppo Reno2 supports 5G as well or if Oppo brings a separate 5G variant of Oppo Reno2. However, as these are unofficial pieces of info from different sources, I would advise you to take it with a pinch of salt.
