Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Snapdragon 845 Variant Spotted on Geekbench

Samsung launched their latest flagships in the S series, the Galaxy S9 and S9 + at MWC 2018. Now, all the attention is on its upcoming flagship in the Note Series- the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The Note series kind of lost its reputation due to what happened with the Note 7. But the users don’t seem to give up on the series.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 passed the benchmarking tool Geekbench and it hints at few specifications of the device. In terms of processor, the Galaxy Note 9 will feature the same Snapdragon 845 chipset which was used on the S9 and S9+. Galaxy-Note-9-Geekbench

The device is codenamed as Samsung SM-N960U which indicates it is the North American version. It runs on Google’s latest Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Experience Ux on top. The interesting fact is that the Samsung S9 and S9+ run on Android 8.0. This might be the first Samsung phone to run on Android 8.1 out of the box. 6GB of RAM will be present in the device to make the performance smooth and hassle-free.

The Galaxy Note 9 scored 2190 points in the single-core score and 8806 points in the multi-core score. This is an octa-core processor and it is clocked at a base frequency of 1.77 GHz. These scores are similar to that of the recently launched Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S which is also powered by a Snapdragon 845.

The most hyped feature that may be spotted on the Galaxy Note 9 is the presence of an in-display fingerprint scanner. There were reports claiming that the South Korean manufacturer is working on the under screen fingerprint technology.  It is also expected that the device would feature a bigger battery for the performance to last more.
