Samsung today expanded its portfolio of M-series smartphone with the launch of the Galaxy M30 smartphone. It is the most expensive of the Galaxy M series smartphone so far. Like, its siblings Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20, it is an online-exclusive and comes with some attractive features like triple cameras, large display and a big battery.
The Galaxy M30 features 6.4 inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display with a waterdrop notch and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It comes with a Widevine L1 certification meaning you can stream HD content from services like Netflix and Amazon Prime videos. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back.
Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7904 chipset paired with 4GB or 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB or 128GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 512GB via microSD card.
It packs a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 13MP primary RGB sensor with f/1.9 aperture, 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP ultra wide lens with 123-degree Field-of-View (FOV). On the front it offers a 16MP camera with selfie focus.
The handset runs on Samsung Experience v9.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and will be backed by a 5,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging with the bundled 15W charger. Samsung claims the Galaxy M30 can easily last a full day and can charge at three times faster than the conventional 5W charger via USB Type-C port.
As for the pricing the 4/64GB variant cost Rs 14,990 while the higher-end 6/128GB variant comes at a price tag of Rs 17,990. It comes with a gradient body and is offered in Graduation Black and Graduation Blue color options. The handset will be available from Samsung e-shop and Amazon India on March 7 at 12 MP IST (Noon).
