Published

Smartphone manufacturers are trying their best to avoid the upper bezel on their devices by experimenting with a variety of solutions like notches, slider mechanisms, and pop-up cameras. The first ever pop-up selfie camera came from Vivo, the Vivo Nex.

Now, it appears like smartphone giant Samsung wants to be part of the trend by making use of a pop-up camera in one of its upcoming devices. The brand already has displays like Infinity-V Display(waterdrop notch), Infinity O Display(punch-hole camera).

Rumors have surfaced online that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A90 will come equipped with the pop-up camera. The front camera would pop-up from the device once the user opens the camera application or any other application which uses the camera. Take a look at the tweet below.

However, it is a bit early for the rumors to start coming out as the 2018 variant of the Samsung Galaxy A9 got unveiled just three months back. The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) comes with a large 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ resolution of 1080×2220 pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy A9(2018) is powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded further up to 512GB via a microSD card.

The device gets a Quad-camera setup at the back, featuring a 24MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP wide-angle lens with an f/2.4 aperture which is further accompanied by a 10MP (f/2.4) telephoto sensor for 2X optical zoom. Whereas, the front bears a 24MP shooter for selfies and video calling. An improved camera setup would be seen on the Galaxy A90.

On the software front, the handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung’s Experience UX layered on top while the newer Galaxy A90 is expected to run Android Pie out of the box.

We hope that the performance and time delay of the pop-up camera to be better than the early generation Vivo Nex devices as it is coming from Samsung this time with quite a while of R&D. More details regarding the Samsung Galaxy A90 will be coming out in the upcoming months. Till then, stay tuned for updates.

Mi A3 Retail Box Leaked! Reveals it’s just a Repackaged Xiaomi CC9e

Published

Xiaomi has good success with its A-series which comes with stock Android instead of custom interface MIUI. The Chinese company launched the Mi A1 in 2017 and the Mi A2 last year and now its gearing up for the Xiaomi Mi A3. Popular tipster Roland Quandt has published official images of the smartphone while live images of its retail box have surfaced online.

In his tweet Roland Quandt says that the images are official but he is not 100% sure about the specs. He mentioned that it will carry a FHD AMOLED display and house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665. The images show a waterdrop notch on the display with a small chin on the bottom. The rear sports a triple camera setup stacked vertically on the top left side. Since there is no visible fingerprint sensor, we expect it to come with a under display one. It also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The leaked white-color retail box confirms that the Mi A3 will be available in Blue and White shades but there seems to be a black color option as well. The protective film on the front reveals that it will indeed be powered by the Snapdragon 655 while featuring a 6.08 inch AMOED display with in-screen fingerprint sensor.  It will likely to be accompanied with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

One of the sensors from the rear triple camera setup will be a 48MP sensor while the remaining two could be an 8MP wide-angle and 2MP depth sensor. On the front it will offer a 32MP camera placed on the notch. The handset will be backed by a 4,030 mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

While the details suggest that the Mi A3 as a global variant of the recently launched Mi CC9e, it will be different as the CC9e has a HD+ panel while the A3 seems to sport a FHD+ panel. The predecessor was launched with a FHD+ display and fans wouldn’t want a successor with a lower- res display.

Xiaomi has released one new promo dedicated to the Xiaomi Mi A3 through its official social channels but mentioned nothing about its launch date and availability.

With two generations of Xiaomi’s Android One phones, they’re in the works of the next-gen phone which could be named as Mi A3. Usually, the A series follows the design and specifications of “MiX” series of devices. After a lot of rumours, they’d launched Xiaomi CC9 last month. The reports on the web suggest that Xiaomi will follow CC9 lineup for A3 & A3 Lite. Famous tipster @IshanAgarwal24 revealed that the Xiaomi Mi A3 {codenamed bamboo_sprout} will spot Snapdragon 730 SoC while the lower Mi A3 Lite {codenamed cosmos_sprout} will sport a Snapdragon 675 chipset.

Talking about the design, as mentioned earlier it may follow the CC9 line-up most probably. The A3 will spot a 6.39-inch FHD+ display while the A3 lite may spot a 6.01-inch FHD+ display. Both the devices will spot the battery size of 4,030mAh. It they follow the trend of CC9, it will spot a headphone jack. Thankfully Xiaomi will return a headphone jack here and usually, A series would have a smaller capacity battery, but this time they’d solved that issue too.

Ishaan has confirmed that information regarding chipset is confirmed and not likely to change. It the rumours are true, then the Mi A3 would be powerful than the Mi CC9 series and a key differentiator between them will be the processor. The MI CC9 comes with a Snapdragon 710 SoC while the Mi CC9e has a Snapdragon 665 SoC. We don’t have any information regarding the launch date of the devices. However, the brand is launching the Redmi K20 lineup on July 17. The launch of these devices would be in the later Q3/ first of Q4.

Xiaomi also started teasing the phone in their global social media accounts. Which could mean that the global debut of the phone is happening soon.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Revealed in High Quality Renders!

Published

With less than a month to go before Samsung officially unveils the Galaxy Note 10 at an Unpacked event in NYC, the final design of the upcoming flagship smartphone has surfaced online. The press renders of the Galaxy Note 10 are released by tipsters Ishan Agarwal and WinFuture’s Roland Quandt on Twitter.

The leaked renders confirm most of the rumored design elements with changes both at the rear and front. Samsung has added a triple camera setup that is stacked vertically at the top left corner with the LED flash on the side. We can also see the new S-Pen which looks very identical to that of the Galaxy Note 9 with small changes. The renders show the smartphone in a gradient silver and black color.

On the front Samsung has opted for a punch-hole placed on the center of the display. There is a very small chin and an edge-to-edge display. It will be equipped with an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The handset’s external design is almost similar and is limited due to the S-Pen that prevents from adding bigger batteries and modern design to its most expensive phone line. However, the accessory remains one of the top priorities for the Note series fans.
