Samsung’s Galaxy A series might be getting a new addition soon in the form of Galaxy A90. The upcoming smartphone has been in the news for the past weeks and was suggested online ahead of the Galaxy A80 launch. The Galaxy A90 that appeared in the leaks was later launched as the Galaxy A80. The Galaxy A90 has returned and is now spotted on benchmarking platform GeekBench with model number SM-A9050 . The listing gave a couple of scores while revealing some of its specs.
According to the listing, the Galaxy A90 will be powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 675 chipset that powers the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Vivo V15 Pro. The chipset is slightly less powerful than the SD 730 which powers the Galaxy A80 smartphone. It is still unknown why the South Korean manufacturer has opted for a less powerful processor on the upcoming handset. The device will have 6GB RAM and run One UI on top of Android 9 Pie.
The Galaxy A90 managed to score a total of 2504 points on the single-core test and 6768 points on the multi-core tests. The other specs such as camera, sensors and battery are yet to be announced. It is expected to come with similar specs as the Galaxy A80 with triple camera setup with a 48MP primary camera. It might sport a 6.7 inch display with FHD+ resolution.
The company is yet to make any official announcement but the listing suggests the launch is not far. The specs look good enough for a mid-range smartphone and might give tough competition to mid-range smartphones like Redmi Note 7 Pro and Realme 3 Pro if Samsung manages to keep the price down. We are still waiting for concrete information on the device and will be informing you with the latest information. Till then, keep tuned.
