Samsung Galaxy A50, A30, & A10 Unveiled. Features Super AMOLED Displays & OneUI!



Samsung announced the Galaxy A50 and the Galaxy A30 two days back in an event. It was mentioned that there would be the Indian launch of these devices. Today, the event took place in Mumbai and Samsung has provided with three new smartphones.

All the three devices feature Super AMOLED displays. The Galaxy A50 features a large 6.4-inch Full-HD+Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution. The device maintains a 91.6 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9610 chipset. There will be 4/6 GB RAM options to choose from. The storage provided is 64 GB which is further expandable up to 512 GB with the help of a micro SD card.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Galaxy A50 has a triple rear camera setup with 25 MP auto-focus f/1.7 lens, a 5 MP fixed-focus f/2.2 lens, and an 8 MP fixed-focus f/2.2 lens. The front camera used is a 25 MP fixed-focus f/2.0 lens. The device makes use of Samsung’s Intelligent Scene Optimiser for scene detection and optimization based on the subject.

The device has an in-display fingerprint sensor for unlocking purposes. It draws juice form 4,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. The port used is USB Type-C.

Coming to the Galaxy A30, it also has a large 6.4-inch Full-HD+Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution. The processor used is an octa-core Exynos 7904 with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage expandable up to 512 GB.

The camera setup in the Galaxy A30 comprises of dual rear cameras (16 MP f/1.7 lens and 5 MP f/2.2 lens) and a 25 MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device retains a physical fingerprint scanner and packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging and a USB Type-C port.

The budget offering from Samsung in the series is the Galaxy A10. It has a 6.2-inch HD+ Infinity-V Display with 720×1520 pixel resolution. The processor used is an octa-core Exynos 7884 chipset. There will be 2 GB RAM coupled with 32 GB of expandable internal storage. It packs a 3,400 mAh battery.

In terms of optics, it features a single 13 MP rear sensor with f/1.9 aperture. In the front, there is a 5 MP lens with f/2.0 aperture.

The Galaxy A50 is priced at Rs. 19,990 for the 4 GB RAM/ 64GB storage version, while the 6 GB RAM/ 64GB storage goes on sale at Rs. 22,990. The phone comes in Blue, White, and Black color variants. The Galaxy A30 will be available to purchase at Rs. 16,990 while the Galaxy A10 will retail at Rs. 8,490. Both A30 and A10 will have Red, Blue, and Black color variants.

As far as the availability is concerned, the Galaxy A50 and A40 will be available to buy from the 2nd of March while the A10 will go on sale from March 20. The software used on all three devices is One UI based on Android Pie.

OPPO K3 Launched in India. Closely Related to Realme X!




OPPO today released the OPPO K3 for the Indian market. The new K-series smartphone was launched in China in May and is the successor to last year’s OPPO K1. It is basically a Realme X with different camera setup and will compete against Vivo V15 and Redmi K20.

The OPPO K3 features a 6.5 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 19:5:0 aspect ratio supplied by Samsung. It lacks a notch or punch-hole leading to a high screen-to-body ratio of 91.1 percent. Like its predecessor, it comes with a next-generation in-display fingerprint scanner which the Chinese manufacturer claims to be 28.5 times faster.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core chipset paired with an Adreno 616 GPU. The phone is available in two configurations: 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage. The dual SIM handset runs on ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 3,765 mAh battery with support for the company’s VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port.

In the optics department, it sports a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 16MP (IMX471) + 2MP configuration. On the front, it offers a pop-up 16MP camera with f/2.0 for video calling and selfies. The camera module is claimed to have a life of five years and only takes 0.74 seconds to slide up. OPPO has provided an AI portrait mode and AI scene detection. Additionally, it has an Ultra Clear Night View 2.0 feature to brighten dark images using software algorithm.

The OPPO K3 pricing in India starts at Rs 16,990 for the 6GB/64GB variant while the 8GB/128GB variant costs Rs 19,990. The handset will be available in Aurora Black and Jade Black color options. It will go on sale in India starting July 13 via Amazon. Launch offers include Rs 1000 cashback as Amazon Pay balance for all buyers. Customers using Axis bank credit or debit cards will get an instant discount of Rs 1000. Samsung Galaxy A80 Launched in India. Unique Rotating Camera, Priced at Rs.47,990!



Back in April, Samsung launched A70 & A80 in Thailand. Later Samsung launched A70 here in India on April 18th. Now the brand has launched Samsung A80 here in India. The device is priced at a premium segment with almost flagship features. It has a rotating camera setup, so the image quality on both sides is equal.


The Galaxy A80 sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED New Infinity display. The device has an aspect ratio of 20:5 as it doesn’t have a notch. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 730G (G stands for better gaming performance). It is an octa-core chipset in which two high-performance cores are clocked at 2.2GHz and 6 power cores are clocked at 1.8GHz. The device comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage onboard which can be expanded up to 512GB via MicroSD card.

Talking about optics it houses a rotating triple camera setup. It has a 48MP (f/2.0) primary camera sensor which is coupled with 8MP (f/2.2) Ultra Wide Angle sensor with 123 Degree FoV and 3D depth camera sensor. The device is capable of features like Super Steady video mode, Scene Optimizer with detection for 30 scenes, and Flaw Detection. By default the camera stays at the rear, if we switch it to the front, the camera will rotate automatically to the front.

Coming to security measures it houses an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device is packed by 3700mAh battery which supports 25W Fast charging. The device will be available in Angel Gold, Ghost White, and Phantom Black color variants. The device is priced at Rs 47,990. It will be available for pre book, starting from July 22nd to 31st. Mi A3 Launched in Spain. Repackaged Xiaomi CC9e, still comes with HD+ Display!



Xiaomi today launched its latest Android One offering- the Xiaomi Mi A3. The smartphone is a successor to the last year’s Mi A2 but the hardware indicates that it is a variant of the Xiaomi CC9e that was launched in China earlier this month. However, the presence of stock Android gives a breath of freshness on the handset.

The Mi A3 features a 6.08-inch display with a resolution of HD+ (1560 x 720 pixels) and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It is disappointing as its predecessor was launched with an FHD+ resolution display. There is a waterdrop style notch and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is embedded with an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 665 paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage that can be expanded further via microSD card.

In the optics department, the device sports a triple camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture, an 8MP sensor with a 118-degree wide-angle lens and a 2MP sensor with depth sensing. On the front, it offers a 32MP camera placed on the notch. The dual SIM handset runs stock Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 4,030 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The Mi A3 price in Spain starts at EUR 249 (Rs 19,200 approx) for the 4GB/64GB variant and EUR 279 (Rs 21,500) for the 6GB/128GB variant. It will be available in “Not Just Blue”, “More than White” and “Kind of Gray” color options from July 24. The Chinese company didn’t mention anything about the phone’s pricing or its availability outside Europe.
