Samsung Galaxy A50 to Sport 4,000 mAh Battery, 24 MP Primary Camera

Samsung is in the works to level up their “A series” of smartphones which are targeted for people expecting mid-range specifications. The first noticeable change is the change in namings. The upcoming handsets in the A series will have a double-digit naming system instead of single-digit names which were used all these days.

A few months before, we got reports that the Samsung Galaxy A70 and A90 will sport newer Infinity Displays with a notch on top. This is indeed a surprising move from a manufacturer like Samsung which managed to survive the market without following the notch trend.  Today, we have got some information regarding the specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A50.

The leak reveals that the handset will pack a massive 4000 mAh battery to ensure long-lasting performance making it the second Samsung smartphone to come with such huge battery capacity after the flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The report comes from a Dutch website which also claims that the primary camera of the Samsung Galaxy A50 will be a 24 MP sensor but there is no information regarding the number of cameras present.

The device is expected to run on Samsung’s own Exynos 9610 processor. 4 GB of RAM coupled with 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage is rumored to be present on the device along with either Infinity-U, Infinity-V or Infinity-O display. The display model to be used on the Galaxy A50 has not been revealed so far.

As far as the availability of the handset is concerned, it is speculated to arrive after Samsung launches its upcoming Galaxy S10 series. We expect it to be launched somewhere in Q2 of 2019. It will be unveiled alongside newer Galaxy  A10, Galaxy A30, Galaxy A70, and Galaxy A90. An exact timeline is not known yet. We’ll update information regarding the availability once Samsung officially announces regarding A series. Till then, stay tuned for updates.
