Redmi S2 Leaked in hands on images & video. Reveals very familiar design.

We all saw a lot of leaks regarding a new Xiaomi phone, the Redmi S2, with it having got 3C certification, and being listed on TENAA. It had a design quite similar to the previously launched Mi 6X. Therefore, we assumed that the phone was a lower variant of the 6X. Moreover, the model number was also leaked, showing it as MT803E6E. It was branded the Xiaomi Redmi S2. Right now, we have another leak on the topic.

A hands on video of the Redmi S2 has been leaked now. The phone rocks a 5.99 inch 1440x720p HD Display.This means that the phone will have an 18:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore, it is powered by the battery efficient Snapdragon 625 SoC, so it might be launched in India as a lower variant of the Mi A2.

The phone has 3 variants, the lowest variant being one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of Storage. The highest variant has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Storage. However, the leaked one has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of Storage. The leaked version also is a pink colored version.

The rear sports a 12MP+5MP dual camera configuration. aided by a mono LED flash. As expected, the fingerprint sensor is right on the back. The phone comes with Android Oreo out of the box.

Moving to the front, the phone appears to have a dual camera configuration. The front side also shows off the 18:9 aspect ratio, though the bezels aren’t much cut off. That’s about what we can see in the images.

Reports have suggested that the Redmi S2 will be launched  for around 1100 Yuan in China which translates to about 12,000 rupees in India or probably less. However, now that a lot of leaks are circulating, we can be sure that the product is launching soon. Hold tight!
