Xiaomi today launched Redmi Note 6 Pro in India, with an surprisingly low amount of Hype surrounding it. Of course, that has to do with the fact that it is basically a Redmi Note 5 Pro with a Notch and better cameras. Also also that it was launched earlier in the international markets.
Yes, what you saw earlier all were true, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC, the same SoC from Redmi Note 5 Pro, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Mi Max 3, etc. It comes in two RAM and storage variants as before, 4/64GB and 6/64GB variant.
The major update comes with the looks of the phone, the phone now comes with a 6.26 inch FHD+ display with a big fat notch on top now.
The other change would be with the cameras. Now, the camera specs sounds similar to that of Redmi Note 5 Pro, but it’s a little different. This time around they’ve switched the camera sensors to a Samsung one, the same one from Redmi Note 5 AI (global variant). It’s a 12MP primary shooter with f/1.9 aperture. It is paired along with a 5MP depth sensor as usual. Also, in the front, there is a change. Front now comes with a dual camera setup of 20MP primary camera + a 2MP depth sensor.
The phone is powered by a 4000mAh battery and the phone supports Quick Charge 3.0, but the charger bundled is a 10W one.
The phone is priced similar to Redmi Note 5 Pro launch price, with 4/64GB variant going for Rs.13,999 and 6/64GB variant going for Rs.15,999. For the first sale though, the phone will be available at a reduced price of Rs.12,999 for the 4/64GB variant and Rs.14,999 for the 6/64GB variant.
The phone will go on sale tomorrow, with Xiaomi’s Black Friday sale at 12PM on Mi.com and Flipkart online. And will be available soon in Mi homes, Mi Stores and preferred partners offline.
