Maybe the last device to the 7 series, Xiaomi has launched Redmi 7A here in India. The phone is well packed and will be a strong rival to Realme C2. The device is a successor to its predecessors like 6A, 5A & 4A. The device is a budget handset targetting the casual users who are not game concentrated. The event was also a premiered event just like the Redmi Note 7s. We’d reported about the device earlier when it passed different certifications.
Redmi 7A spots a 5.45-inch HD+ display without any notch. But the bezels around the phone are high, some people may don’t like this. The display has an aspect ratio 18:9 and has 2.5D curved display glass. The device is powered by Snapdragon 439 and is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of storage. The Snapdragon 439 is coupled with Adreno 505 and has an octa-core setup which is coupled with Quad Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.95GHz and Quad Cortex A53 cores clocked at a lower speed i.e is 1.45GHz.
Talking about optics, it has a single rear camera setup. It has a 12MP camera coupled with Sony IMX486 sensor, the same sensor as on Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Mi A2 & Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2. To the front, it has a 5MP sensor to capture the selfies.
The device runs on Miui 10 based on Android Pie. It has a 4000 mAh battery, which can easily last for a day. For security measures, it has AI It comes in different color options like Matte Blue, Matte Gold, and Matte Black. The 2GB/16GB variant is priced at Rs. 5799 (till July, after it will cost Rs. 5999) while the 2GB/32GB variant is priced at Rs. 5999 (till July, after it will cost Rs. 6199). It comes with 2 years warranty on the go.
