A new Xiaomi smartphone with model number M1901F7T, M1901F7E and M1901F7C was recently certified by 3C authority in China but the certification didn’t reveal much details about the device. Since, the phone will come with 5V/2A charging, it is speculated to be the Redmi 7 smartphone for next year. Now the same Xiaomi smartphone with model number M1901F9T has appeared in Chinese regulatory agency TENAA revealing the design aspect and few internal specs.
From the attached images, the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone sports a dual camera setup at the rear stacked in a vertical arrangement coupled with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. There seems to be a notch as the front camera is placed at the middle. Though unclear, we are expected it to be a waterdrop notch. The power button and the volume rocker are both placed on the right side. The device measures 147.76 x 71.89 x 7.8 mm.
From the TENAA spec list, the Xiaomi handset will feature a 5.84 inch display and backed by a 2900 mAh battery. The cameras are revealed to come with AI though we are not sure how much difference it will make. It will boot Android OS out of the box, but the chipset and the storage configuration is still unknown. But considering it will be a entry level/ mid-range series, it will likely be limited to 4GB/6GB RAM.
All the Xiaomi smartphones that were released this year had a “M18” at the start of their model numbers while the upcoming device has “M19” in their names indicating that they will be launched next year. So we can expect the company to launch the rumoured Redmi 7 series in the first quarter of 2019 which will have further divisions like Redmi 7 and Redmi 7 Pro. Currently, Xiaomi has not released any other information about the device but other details are expected to be revealed soon.
