The process has a Mali-G52 GPU and built-in NPU bringing dedicated AI silicon to Huawei’s mid-range SoCs for the first time.

Additionally, there will be higher variant called the Nova 5 Pro which will be powered by the Kirin 980 flagship chipset instead of the Kirin 810. After lots of teasing and hype, Motorola has finally launched it’s latest mid-ranger Motorola One Vision in India.

It’s the third phone in the One series of phones from the brand, the previous ones being Motorola One Power & Motorola One.

The phone is powered by an Exynos 9609 SoC, and it’s kind of surprising as it’s been a long time since we saw an Exynos SoC in a phone other than Samsung. It is basically an underclocked version of Exynos 9610 that we saw in Galaxy A50.

Asus 6z Launched in India! Comes with Flip Camera, Starts from Rs.31,999.

Published

on

To compete with OnePlus 7 and Mi 9, Asus has announced its new device Zenfone 6 last month. Asus has finally unveiled the device here in India as 6z; they changed the name due to the ban by Delhi High-Court for using Zen branding. Telecare Network, a company in India has complained that it has been using Zen and ZenMobile as its product monikers since 2008. And Asus was banned to release phones under Zen branding. Here in India, the device is a strong rival to Honor 20 & OnePlus 7.

The 6Z spots a large 6.4-inch edge-to-edge IPS LCD FHD+ display covered in Gorilla Glass 6. It has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 which allows for an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 92%. These large panels are really useful while consuming media. Additionally, it can blow up to 600 nits.

Thanks to Asus for providing a notch less display. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 which also powers the OnePlus 7, K20 Pro and Mi 9. It is paired with 6/8GB of RAM and 64/128/256GB of storage versions. The best part of this is the device supports microSD cards of up to 2TB. It still uses UFS 2.1 as it’s storage type.

Talking about optics it houses a motorized dual camera setup. It has a Sony IMX586 48MP with an aperture value of f/1.8 primary camera sensor which is coupled with 13MP with an aperture value of f/2.4 Wide-Angle sensor with 125 Degree. By default the camera stays at the rear, if we switch it to the front, the camera will rotate automatically to the front.

The module can be set on any angle required in between 0 to 180-degrees which is really unique touch. The angle can be set using volume key as well as a soft button from the screen. The company has also revealed results of a lab test during its official launch. The camera module can survive until 100000 flips, which is converted to 28 flips every day for 5 years. However, in real-world usage, there may be some differences. The phone also supports 4K video recording at 60fps paired with electronic image stabilization (EIS). Full-HD slow-mo video at both 240fps and 120fps is supported, as is HD slow-mo at 480fps. Accompanying this will also be a new function Asus calls Super Night Mode that should drastically improve low-light photography results.

The Asus 6Z ships with stock Android 9 Pie straight out of the box. It is, however, compatible with the Android Q Beta program and, as an added bonus, an update to Android Q is also being promised. Coming to security measures it houses a physical fingerprint sensor.

The device is backed by a massive 5000mAh battery which supports QC 4.0 (18W) charging technology. It also supports 10W reverse charging technology. Apart from these it has a 3.5mm headphone jack and dedicated “smart key” that defaults to Google Assistant, but can be remapped to open the camera app, take a screenshot and much more.  The device will be available in Midnight Black and Twilight Silver colour variants.

It is priced at Rs.31,999 for 6/64GB variant, Rs.34,999 for 8/128GB variant and Rs.39,999 for 8/256GB variant. The device will be available on Flipkart for sale.
