Realme XT was mentioned in the Realme 5 and the Realme 5 Pro launch event earlier this month. The world’s first phone with 64MP camera is teased to arrive “when September ends”. Ahead of the official unveiling, the smartphone’s details have surfaced on Weibo. Realme reportedly organized a meet for social media where it discussed the upcoming device. The event also revealed that it may end up being released only in India and not in China.
According to the Realme press event photos that are shared on Weibo, the Realme XT will feature a 6.4 inch Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch on top. Under the hood, it will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone is expected to arrive in 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB variants.
In the optics department, the device will sport a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP secondary sensor with f/2.25 aperture, a 2MP tertiary macro camera, and a 2MP portrait camera. Both the 2MP sensors have an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it is speculated to offer a 16MP selfie camera placed on the notch.
Xu Qi Chase, CMO at Realme today posted the first official teaser of the phone. It looks very similar to the Realme 5 with the vertical quad-camera setup while sporting a Snow White color. Since there is no visible fingerprint sensor we can expect to come with an optical sensor under the display.
The handset will run ColorOS 6 on top of Android 9 Pie and will be backed by a 4,000 mAh battery supported by 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging. At least one of the color options has been revealed to be Pearl Blue with the second color revealed to be Silver Wing White. The pricing and availability details are yet to be revealed by the company.
