Realme launched their most awaited Realme 2 Pro today in an event in Noida. They had one more thing to launch in the event, an entry level smartphone in the same event. Dubbed as the Realme C1 it brings specs never seen on any entry level smartphone.
The Realme C1 comes with a Unibody glossy back panel and a notched display. But the notch is of a traditional design and not the dewdrop design like on the Realme 2 Pro. It follows the philosophy of Mega Display and Mega Battery.
The Realme C1 features a 6.2 inch display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be further expandable to 256GB via microSD card. In the optics department, it sports a dual camera setup stacked on a horizontal arrangement on the top left corner. The dual cameras consist of a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera while the front offers a 5MP AI camera.
The handset runs on Color OS 5.1 built on top of Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a massive 4230 mAh battery. Though it is not yet confirmed whether it will come with a fingerprint sensor or not, it is confirmed to have AI facial unlock. The images show it in a Blue and Black color option but other variants may also be present.
The price was announced to be Rs 6,999 for the single variant and will take on the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 6A. However, the price is mentioned to be “introductory price for Diwali season” so we get an idea of its launch date and the the original price for the price is not 6999. Other details are scare at this moment but we expect the company to release more details soon.
Also it is to be noted that this phone is also rebrand of an Oppo phone which was launched earlier in India, Oppo A3S.
