Realme launched the 5 and 5 Pro in August and followed up the 5s later in November. Now the Chinese manufacturer has announced that it will be adding the fourth member to the lineup which will be called Realme 5i and will launch on January 6.
The information is made available by Realme Vietnam who announced the news on Facebook. Though the company didn’t reveal anything about the 5i, it was listed on the Vietnamese retailer FTPShop’s website. This listing reportedly revealed the price along with the key details about it. As per Vietnamese FPTShop, it will be made available for purchase at a price of VND 4,390,000 (Rs 13,000 approx).
The listing further suggests, Realme 5i will sport similar specs to the Realme 5 with slightly toned down. It plans to make up for this by offering two new colors and a different design on the back panel. The teaser shows the phone in green and blue colors with a subtle gradient finish on the back panel. This gradient on the rear, however, is quite different from the company’s signature diamond-cut design seen on the Realme 5 and Realme 5s.
As for the specs, the Realme 5i will feature a 6.52-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) display with a waterdrop notch. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone is expected to come in more variants which will be revealed at the time of the launch.
The device will have a quad-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 12MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP depth sensor, 2MP macro shooter. At the front, there will be a 8MP camera for selfies and video calling. It will run ColorOS 6.0.1 based on Android Pie and will be backed by a 5,000 mAh battery.
