Realme 5 Pro & Realme 5 Launched in India. Quad Camera in Budget Finally!

realme, one of the emerging smartphone brands in India has once again introduced phones at an event in New Delhi at very competitive prices. Today, the company launched the much-anticipated realme 5 and realme 5 Pro. The highlight of both the phones is the quad-camera setup on the back. Also, the pricing is very aggressive. realme 5 base variant has been priced at Rs. 9,999 and the base variant of realme 5 Pro has been priced at Rs. 13,999, the same launch price as their earlier phone, realme 3 Pro.

The realme 5 Pro is kinda like the more premium variant of the realme 5. The phone sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 712 chipset, coupled with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB onboard storage. However, there is provision for memory expansion up to 256 GB using a microSD card.

The camera is the main highlighting feature of the realme 5 Pro as there are four of them on the back. In that quad-camera setup, there is a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. Along with that, there is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.25 aperture and 119-degree field of view. A 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture is also there and a 2-megapixel portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture has been added for depth sensing. There is Electronic Image Stabilisation on the realme 5 Pro. On the front, realme 5 Pro has a 16-megapixel camera with 4-in-1 pixel tech and an f/2.0 aperture.

The realme 5 Pro runs Android 9 Pie out of the box with Color OS 6 skin on top and the phone comes with a 4035mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 which brings 20W fast charging. This time, realme has gone with USB-C and apart from that, there are connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 and the mighty 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, with realme 5 Pro, the company will bundle the fast charger in the box itself. The base variant of realme 5 Pro with 4GB RAM is priced at Rs. 13,999, while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 14,999. There is also a top variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which has been priced at Rs. 16,999.

realme 5 was also launched today. The phone is like just a bit toned-down version of the realme 5 Pro, but with one prime benefit. The realme 5 features a 6.5-inch HD+ instead of the fullHD+ display on the realme 5 Pro. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 665 processor, and it’s the first phone in India to have launched with this chipset. On the realme 5, we get three variants- 3GBRAM and 32GB storage, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.

In terms of camera, the company has put a quad-camera setup on the realme 5 as well, but with a minor change. Instead of using the 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, realme as put a 12-megapixel primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture. However, the other three lenses are the same as those, found on the realme 3 Pro.

On the front, there is a 13-megapixel camera. The realme 5 gets a bigger battery compared to realme 5 Pro. The phone packs a huge 5000mAh battery. This is the first time realme has opted for such a big battery for any of its devices. In terms of pricing, the 3GB variant is priced at Rs. 9,999, while the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage is priced at 10,999 and the top variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 11,999.

In terms of availability, the realme 5 Pro will go on sale on September 4 at 12 pm via Flipkart and the realme website and soon, it will be available via offline stores as well. The realme 5 will go on sale on August 27 at 12 pm via Flipkart and realme website and just like the realme 5 Pro, it will arrive at the offline stores soon. There are various launch offers for realme 5 Pro like Jio benefits worth up to Rs. 7,000, no-cost EMIs, Flipkart’s Complete Mobile Protection at a discounted price, Paytm First membership, and up to Rs. 2,000 cashback if purchased with Paytm UPI. For realme 5, launch offers are the same as realme 5 Pro, however, we couldn’t find any no-cost EMI option for it.

Realme XT Launched in India. Comes with 6.4 inch AMOLED display & 64MP Quad Cameras!

Today Realme XT has finally been launched in India at an event after the device was being anticipated for a while. The main highlight of the phone is the 64-megapixel camera sensor on the back. At the event, the company also launched Realme Buds Wireless and Realme Power Bank.

Realme also revealed another new phone under its X Series after Realme X, the Realme XT 730G. The Realme XT is similar to Realme XT, except that the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor and supports 30W fast charging.

The Realme XT sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop-style notch. The display has a maximum brightness of up to 550nits. There is Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both the front and the back of the phone. The Realme XT is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor the same processor they used in Realme 5 Pro, coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage, whereas the top variant comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

In terms of camera, the Realme XT comes with a quad-camera setup on the back. The primary shooter is a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, with EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization). Along with that, there is an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel camera for video calling and selfies.

The Realme XT runs Android Pie out of the box with Color OS 6.0 on top. It packs a big 4,000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging at 20 Watts. For charging and data transfer the Realme XT has a USB Type-C port at the bottom, and the phone retains the 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of connectivity, the phone comes with essential connectivity options like dual 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 and more.

The Realme XT starts at Rs. 15,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, whereas the 6GB RAM variant is priced just a little higher at Rs. 16,999. Both of these variants have 64 GB storage. However, the top variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 18,999. The Realme XT will go on sale on Flipkart and Realme.com on September 16, 12 PM, but the phone will also be available via retailers later. There are launch offers like flat Rs. 2000 cashback if payment is made using UPI via Paytm and Paytm First membership worth Rs. 750. Also, the first 64,000 buyers of Realme XT will also get free screen replacement, which will be valid for six months.

Along with Realme XT, the company also launched the Realme Buds Wireless, a pair of wireless earphones which is priced at Rs. 1799. The Realme Buds Wireless offers 12-hour battery life and packs 11.2mm bass boost driver. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 and comes with a 3-button remote. Realme Buds Wireless will be sold in Orange, Green, and Black colors. The Realme Buds Wireless will go on sale tomorrow on Amazon India.

The company also launched Realme Powerbank with 10000mAh capacity. The new power bank from Realme comes with dual USB output i.e. USB-A and USB-C, making it compatible for most smartphones. Also, the power bank offers 18W fast charging. It will go on sale later this month, for a price of Rs. 12,999.

At the event, Realme India head Madhav Seth also revealed the timeline for Android 10 update for existing Realme phones. Realme 3 Pro, Realme 5 Pro, Realme X, and Realme XT will the first phones to get the Android 10 update in the first quarter of 2020. Realme 3, Realme 5, and Realme 3i will get the update in the next quarter and at last, in the third quarter, the Realme 2 Pro will get Android 10 update.

Samsung Galaxy A30s & Galaxy A50s Launched in India. Comes with iterative Upgrades!

Samsung today officially launched the Galaxy A30s and the Samsung Galaxy A50s for the Indian market. The two A-series smartphones were announced last month and are known for their prism backplane design and triple rear cameras.

Both the smartphone adopt a prismatic geometric pattern and holographic finish at the back. They come in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Violet and Prism Crush Green color options. Other common features between the A30s and the A50s include in-screen fingerprint sensor, Alive Screen, Dolby Atmos and Samsung Pay.

Galaxy A30s

The Samsung Galaxy A30 features a 6.4 inch Infinity-V Super AMOLED display with a resolution of HD+ (1560 x 720 pixels). Under the hood, it is powered by a 14nm Exynos 7904 chipset and is available in two variants: 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. Both the variants have expandable memory option up to 512GB via a microSD card.

In the optics, the device sports a triple rear camera setup with a 25MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it offers a 16MP selfie shooter. It runs OneUI based on Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5 mm jack and USB Type-C.

Galaxy A50s

On the other hand, the Galaxy A50s sports a 6.4 inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a FHD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels). It is powered by a 10nm Exynos 9610 chipset with Mali-G72 GPU paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. It has expandable memory option up to 512GB via a microSD card.

In the optics department, it has a triple camera rear setup consisting of a 48MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and night mode, 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture. The front gets a 32MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and a Night Mode. It runs OneUI based on Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy A30s is priced at Rs 16,999 for the sole 4/64GB variant while the Galaxy A50s pricing starts at Rs 22,999 and Rs 24,999 for the 4/128GB and 6/128GB respectively. Both the smartphone will go on sale starting today in India. It will be available for purchase from Amazon, Paytm Mall, Flipkart, Samsung Online Store and the brand’s Opera House in Bengaluru.

Apple iPhone 11,11 Pro & 11 Pro Max Launched! Indian Prices Revealed, starts from Rs.64,900!

The wait is over as Apple is back for its most anticipated launch of the year. The ‘Apple Special Event’ took place at Steve Jobs Auditorium, Cupertino, California, where the company unveiled its three new iPhones- the iPhone 11, iPhone Pro and the iPhone Pro Max. The iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are the successors to last year’s iPhone XS and XS Max.

Apple unveiled its Watch Series 5 running on watchOS 6 at the event. It also announced Apple Arcade in partnership with gaming giants Konami, Capcom and Annapurna Interactive. The project is being dubbed as “the world’s first subscription service for mobile, desktop, and living room.” The Apple TV+ in competition with Netflix and the new iPad was also revealed.

The smartphones gets a matte finish and steel case build. It is made of 100% recycled aluminium. There is still no 5G support but includes Wi-Fi 6. Apple now uses a “Haptic Touch” feedback instead of the 3D Touch. The Face ID is 30-percent faster than before.

The latest iPhone 11 comes with a 6.1 inch screen Retina Display. The iPhone Pro and the iPhone Pro Max has a Super Retina XDR OLED display of 5.8 inches and 6.5 inch respectively. It has 458 ppi pixel density, peak brightness of 1200 nits and a 2 million to 1 contrast ratio.  The display also has support for HDR 10 with Dolby Vision.

The three iPhone 11 devices are powered by the brand new Apple A13 Bionic chipset. The new chipset offers the most powerful CPU and GPU combination capable of trillion operations in a second which makes it the “best CPU for machine learning”.

Like the renders suggested, the iPhone 11 will have a square module with triple camera setup. It consists of a 12MP wide-angle camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with f/1.4 aperture and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2X zoom. It has OIS, 4k 60FPS shooting capabilities and has slow motion which Apple calls “slo-fie”. It has 4X optical zoom and Pro level video editing on Filmic Pro with live selection of shots. There is a night mode along with a Deep Fusion feature, which takes the best features from nine different images that the iPhone automatically takes and uses machine learning to combine a final detailed image.

The iPhone 11 series runs iOS 13 with a new Dark Mode. Apple claims the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro will get up to 4 hours of extra battery life, while the iPhone 11 Pro Max will offer up to 5 hours of extra battery compared to their predecessors. There is a 18W super-fast charger bundled along with it.

The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will be available in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB variants priced at $999 and $1,099, respectively. Apple also announced the Indian prices of the three iPhones. The iPhone 11 pricing starts at Rs 64,900 for the 64GB storage variant. The 64GB variant of the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are priced at Rs 99,900 and Rs 1,09,900, respectively. They will go up for pre sale on Friday, September 20 and will available a week after that on September 27 in India. Earlier, Apple announced that the sale will start from September 20 in India but revised the dates. The Pro and the Pro max will come in midnight green, space gray, silver, gold color options while the iPhone 11 has black, white, yellow, purple, green, Product Red color options.
