Realme entered the Indian Market in May this year as an Oppo sub-brand. The company recently split up ways with the parent company to become an independent brand just like OnePlus and made plans to debut in South Asian markets. The company after selling four lakh smartphones in just 40 days plans to launch four more smartphones within the price Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000 by the end of this year.
Now, the company is preparing for the launch of its second smartphone Realme 2 in the Indian market which may be announced in this month. Madhav Seth, Chief Executive Officer, Realme India said that it will be launching Realme 2 very soon in India and will be loaded with features that aren’t available in Realme 1. He further clarified that it will be priced less than Rs 15,000 because as a brand they want focus on keep in keeping “aam aadmi” (common man) man.
He adds that
We constantly try to improve our product by incorporating features which our consumers demand from us. Feedback from our consumers is very critical for us and we take it very seriously. In our new line up of smartphones including Realme 2 consumers can look forward to Dual camera setup, fingerprint scanner, notch and few more features
Madhav on the split between the companies said that the move to separate was on the card for quite some time and the primary driver was to target a different set of audience/ customers which were not targeted by Oppo. Also in an independent unit he feels one gets a lot of freedom to experiment without being burdened by expectation from a well-established brand.
As for the customer care services and after services, he said even after the separation Realme will using the network of Oppo because it is already well established. The company will also be using the manufacturing unit of Oppo for future production of smartphones. He clarified that BBK Electronics the investor in Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus and then in Realme doesn’t interfere with day to day affairs of the company or product development cycle.
Talking on the future launch, he confirmed that Realme 3, Realme 4 and Realme 5 are in development and all will be launched in a phased manner before March 2019 which puts a gap of approximately seven months. He added that they all will be priced less than Rs 20,000 and might launch a smartphone under Android One program with no timeline yet.
OnePlus 7T Pro & McLaren Edition Revealed in CAD Renders!
OnePlus launched the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro earlier this year. The Chinese manufacturer is expected to launch the OnePlus 7T Pro and the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition next month. Ahead of its supposed launch, the CAD-based renders of the smartphones have surfaced online. The renders were published by the folks at @Onleaks partnered with 91mobiles giving the first look at the upcoming flagship from OnePlus. The same tipster provided the OnePlus 7T renders last week.
And now comes your very first look at the #OnePlus7TPro and #OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition, in form of gorgeous and official looking 5K renders! On behalf of my Friends over @91mobiles -> https://t.co/Anv9SNqpIf pic.twitter.com/mR8CIpqUNU

The OnePlus 7 Pro will be a follow-up of the OnePlus 7 Pro while the OnePlus 7 Pro McLaren Edition is a special edition phone like the last year’s OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition made in partnership with sports car manufacturer McLaren. The renders suggest that OnePlus 7 Pro and as well the McLaren Edition will look exactly like the OnePlus 7 Pro. There is no change in design and will only have additional color options like Haze Blue as seen in the images.
The OnePlus 7T Pro and the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition sport a curved edge-to-edge display and a pop-up selfie camera. Since there will be no change in design including the dimensions, we can expect a 6.67 inch Fluid AMOLED display. It has a 90Hz refresh rate and equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
According to the renders, the rear of the OnePlus 7T Pro looks exactly like the OnePlus 7 Pro. However, coming to the McLaren Edition, we can see some differences compared to that of the 2018 model. It has a carbon fibre textured pattern on the whole back panel while it was restricted to just the middle in the last year’s McLaren Edition handset. It has classic McLaren orange accents at the sides and bottom
There is a vertically stacked triple rear camera setup in the centre with the LED flash and company logo at the bottom. This is a complete different design compared to the circular camera module expected on the OnePlus 7T. The power button and the alert slider reside on the right side of the phone while the volume rocker is placed on the left. There is a USB Type-C charging port at the bottom that doubles up as an audio jack along with speaker grill and antenna.
There is no official confirmation but the devices will likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The rear triple cameras could come with a 48MP + 16MP + 8MP configuration while the front might offer a 20MP sensor. It is expected to come with a 4100 mAh battery with Warp Charging support.
The OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro and the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is rumoured to be unveiled on September 26 in India with the sales starting from October 15. The company has not given an official statement but we can except an announcement soon.
Realme XT Revealed ahead of Launch, Comes with SD 712 & 6.3 inch AMOLED display with Waterdrop Notch!
Realme XT was mentioned in the Realme 5 and the Realme 5 Pro launch event earlier this month. The world’s first phone with 64MP camera is teased to arrive “when September ends”. Ahead of the official unveiling, the smartphone’s details have surfaced on Weibo. Realme reportedly organized a meet for social media where it discussed the upcoming device. The event also revealed that it may end up being released only in India and not in China.
According to the Realme press event photos that are shared on Weibo, the Realme XT will feature a 6.4 inch Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch on top. Under the hood, it will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone is expected to arrive in 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB variants.
In the optics department, the device will sport a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP secondary sensor with f/2.25 aperture, a 2MP tertiary macro camera, and a 2MP portrait camera. Both the 2MP sensors have an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it is speculated to offer a 16MP selfie camera placed on the notch.
Xu Qi Chase, CMO at Realme today posted the first official teaser of the phone. It looks very similar to the Realme 5 with the vertical quad-camera setup while sporting a Snow White color. Since there is no visible fingerprint sensor we can expect to come with an optical sensor under the display.
The handset will run ColorOS 6 on top of Android 9 Pie and will be backed by a 4,000 mAh battery supported by 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging. At least one of the color options has been revealed to be Pearl Blue with the second color revealed to be Silver Wing White. The pricing and availability details are yet to be revealed by the company.
Redmi Note 8 Official Render Released. Reveals 48MP Quad Camera!
Redmi Note 8 Series, comprising of two phones, the Note 8 and Note 8 Pro are the next hyped budget smartphones, that are going to be launched very soon. Just three days ago, the company had officially announced the launch date of the devices, along with a few other details and today, the official render of Redmi Note 8 has been revealed. Here’s the official render of the Redmi Note 8.
The real hype-creating phone is the Redmi Note 8 Pro, which is said to have a 64-megapixel camera on the back. This would be the first phone in the world to pack a 64-megapixel camera, as Xiaomi had showcased earlier this month along with teasing a 100-megapixel camera. The Redmi Note 8 is also going to have somewhat a different spec sheet from what was expected, as the phone is now being said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 chipset, instead of MediaTek’s Helio G90. So, the Redmi Note 8 would pack the same chipset as Mi A3, but now, a quad-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary lens is confirmed as the official render is here as we can see four sensors and the text that says ‘48MP AI Camera’.
A few more good improvements are imminent as it is being claimed that the Redmi Note 8 Pro’s 64-megapixel camera would have up to 25x zoom. In terms of battery as well, we may see an upgrade from 4000mAh or 4100mAh to a bigger 4500mAh battery. The company has also teased a notebook, called RedmiBook 14.
The teaser doesn’t seem to reveal much about the RedmiBook 14, but it is evident that the notebook will be launched alongside the Redmi Note 8 Series of smartphones, on the same day and it will be powered by an Intel Core i7 Ice Lake 10th Gen processor. Apart from these small details, nothing much is known about the RedmiBook 14 yet, but due to its naming, we are just making a wild guess that it will be a 14-inch notebook!
