Oppo is going to launch their first ever device under their new online only sub-brand, Realme. Realme 1 is the name of the device which is going to get unveiled on 15th of May as an Amazon Exclusive (it was revealed earlier in an announcement by Amazon). And in the past couple of weeks we have seen several rumors about the device coming from many renowned tech journalists.
However, the fact of the matter is that the device which is yet to be officially revealed, abruptly came under the limelight in an unboxing video which was accidentally posted on YouTube covered by the prominent consumer technology channel iGyaan Network.
Take a look at the unboxing video:
Take a look at the screenshots that we grabbed from the video:
According to the unboxing video the device was being explicitly shown in a proper way, obviously disclosing every nooks and cranny of it.
The device flaunts a 6.0 inch LCD 18:9 aspect ratio display with a Full HD+ resolution, but thankfully it doesn’t come with a notch unlike we anticipated.
The phone is powered by a Mediatek Helio P60 SoC, which is found in Oppo’s own Oppo F7 & Oppo A3, and is coupled with 4/6GB of RAM, along with an onboard storage capacity of 64/128GB.
Apart from that according to the physical overview the device features a diamond-shaped glass back, like the one on the recently launched Oppo F7 & Oppo A3, the volume rocker, and the power button are flanked on both side of the device, moreover, the device will have a hybrid sim solution so obviously either one can go with secondary sim or an external sd card.
As far as the device’s camera is concerned, there is a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Besides that, it is an AI-focused device with a multi-core AI processing units, which means the camera has AI focused functionality to shoot excellent photographs balancing every aspect of the camera.
Last but not least the whole device is powered by a 3410 mAh battery which probably lasts for one and a half day of moderate usage. However, according to the screenshots, the device also seems to have a face unlock option along with ordinary passcode option, but the fingerprint scanner is absent on this one, which is a basic necessity of a smartphone nowadays.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi will be holding this year’s Annual Product Event in Shenzhen, with rumours pointing to a May 31 date. It is speculated the company will be unveiling its 8th Aniversary smartphone called Mi 8. Today a new video of the smartphone has surfaced online revealing an under-display fingerprint sensor. The scanner not only scans in 2D, but creates an 3D map of the user’s face for enhance security. Currently only the iPhone X includes this scanning feature which is housed on the top notch. So, the Mi 8 is also expected to have this design tweak.
As for the specs, it is rumoured that the smartphone will come with top-notch specs like Snapdragon 845 SoC, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64GB 2.1 internal storage, 4000 mAh battery with Qi wireless charging and fast charging support. The display is speculated to be an OLED one measuring 5.45 inches.
