Oppo is going to launch their first ever device under their new online only sub-brand, Realme. Realme 1 is the name of the device which is going to get unveiled on 15th of May as an Amazon Exclusive (it was revealed earlier in an announcement by Amazon). And in the past couple of weeks we have seen several rumors about the device coming from many renowned tech journalists.
However, the fact of the matter is that the device which is yet to be officially revealed, abruptly came under the limelight in an unboxing video which was accidentally posted on YouTube covered by the prominent consumer technology channel iGyaan Network.
Take a look at the unboxing video:
Take a look at the screenshots that we grabbed from the video:
According to the unboxing video the device was being explicitly shown in a proper way, obviously disclosing every nooks and cranny of it.
The device flaunts a 6.0 inch LCD 18:9 aspect ratio display with a Full HD+ resolution, but thankfully it doesn’t come with a notch unlike we anticipated.
The phone is powered by a Mediatek Helio P60 SoC, which is found in Oppo’s own Oppo F7 & Oppo A3, and is coupled with 4/6GB of RAM, along with an onboard storage capacity of 64/128GB.
Apart from that according to the physical overview the device features a diamond-shaped glass back, like the one on the recently launched Oppo F7 & Oppo A3, the volume rocker, and the power button are flanked on both side of the device, moreover, the device will have a hybrid sim solution so obviously either one can go with secondary sim or an external sd card.
As far as the device’s camera is concerned, there is a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Besides that, it is an AI-focused device with a multi-core AI processing units, which means the camera has AI focused functionality to shoot excellent photographs balancing every aspect of the camera.
Last but not least the whole device is powered by a 3410 mAh battery which probably lasts for one and a half day of moderate usage. However, according to the screenshots, the device also seems to have a face unlock option along with ordinary passcode option, but the fingerprint scanner is absent on this one, which is a basic necessity of a smartphone nowadays.
Honor Magic 2 Leaked in Live Images, Hands-On Video Out as well
Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has been in limelight since long for its upcoming Honor Magic 2. With this new smartphone, the company aims to take on the Xiaomi’s Mix series, competing to make a bezel-less flagship with best possible and practical experience. As teased initially, the device comes with an edge to edge display and a sliding mechanism for cameras just like the Oppo Find X but with a different implementation. We now have the leaked back of the device along with a video which showcases the sliding mechanism of this bezel-less beauty, ahead of the scheduled launch date of October 31.
Let’s talk about the leaked image first which reveals the back side of the alleged Honor Magic 2. As per the image, the device comes with a glossy glass back in black and gradient twilight color options shown here. The back houses a total of three cameras, two cameras along with an LED flash followed by the third segregated lens giving it a look reminiscent of that on the Huawei P20 Pro. The Twilight version has “Honor” branding on the bottom left corner while the black one surprisingly reads “Eiffel”, following the same, the former carries the “AI Vision” branding while the latter reads out “Dual Lens”.
Furthermore, there is no fingerprint scanner present on the back of the handset, which supports the rumors of it having an In-display fingerprint scanner. These images completely smash the possibility of four rear cameras claimed by some previously leaked renders.
You can watch the video showcasing the slider mechanism below:
Also, we recently witnessed the leaked retail box of the device. The black colored matte finish box had the popular car maker Tesla’s branding along with the Honor Magic 2 text at the bottom, hinting at the chances that Huawei might partner up with Tesla to bring in a special Tesla edition of the Magic 2 like they have done in their Mate series i.e. the Mate 10 Porsche and the recently unveiled Mate 20 RS Porche edition.
As of now, we know only limited things about the upcoming Honor Magic 2. Firstly, it is said to bear nearly 100% screen to body ratio which should be somewhere around 95% as per our expectations. Moreover, rumors suggest that the device will sport a 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2880×1440 pixels and a sliding camera mechanism (manually driven, requires to be operated using physical force instead of automated motors) which includes a selfie camera, earpiece, and other sensors to accommodate the full body display at the front.
The device will be powered by the company’s latest flagship 7nm Kirin 980 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The camera setup here might function similar to the Mate 20 / Mate 20 Pro’s cameras including a wide angle, a telephoto, and a regular high-resolution RGB lens.
Other leaks hint at the absence of 3.5mm jack and a large graphene-film cooled battery just like the Mate 20. Given that the launch is near, let us wait for 31st of October to know what it was all about, also, let us see if this device slays the Mi Mix 3 which is arriving a few days earlier, on Oct 25. Till then, stay tuned.
Mi Mix 3 Leaked in Black & Blue Color Variants, Reveals Fingerprint Scanner on the Back!
Xiaomi is all set to launch its latest flagship – the Mi Mix 3 next week and is on the final round of preparations. The launch event is expected to happen on the 25th of this month. The company had been testing 5G connectivity a few months back and it appears like they’re ready to unveil the Mi Mix 3 with support for 5G, making it the first commercial smartphone to feature 5G.
While we were expecting the Mi Mix 3 to feature the in-display fingerprint scanner technology, new live images have leaked online hinting the presence of a physical fingerprint scanner on the rear. This also raises the possibility to the existence of multiple variants of the device, just like how the company handled its Mi 8.
The images feature the Black and Blue color variants of the alleged Mi Mix 3. Both the devices sport the physical fingerprint sensor. The cameras are vertically stacked resembling the iPhone X with LED flash between the two sensors. The presence of USB Type-C port in the device is also clearly visible from the leaked image.
According to previous leaks, the front of the handset is expected to feature a manual slider mechanism for accessing the camera. The back appears to be made of glass which indicates the presence of wireless charging. There is a MIX branding on the bottom of the rear side of the device.
One more close up of the front side of the phone has been leaked, take a look at it:

It is also stated to come with a 3D structured light module for facial recognition. Stay tuned for updates as the device is nearing its launch!

The Huawei Mate 20 series including the Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro is scheduled for launch tomorrow on 16th of October. We have seen quite a lot of leaks in past including renders, hands-on images, and specifications. Although the front side ain’t disclosed yet, it is clear from the leaks in past that it will have a regular Notch with an embedded 3D structurer light module for 3D face unlock. The Pro version will also feature an In-Display fingerprint scanner omitting the regular one.
Both the phones sport a Leica triple camera set up at the back along with an LED flash in a squircle-shaped module out of which as per the rumors will feature a 40-megapixel main sensor with f/1.8 aperture paired with a f/2.4 aperture 20-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. The triple lenses can work simultaneously to capture ultra-macro shots from a very close distance of 2.5cm.
The Mate 20 will grab its juice from a 4,000mAh battery whereas the Mate 20 Pro will arrive with a larger 4,200mAh power cell, aided with a whopping 40W SuperCharge fast charging technology which is claimed to pump in 70 percent of charge from 0 in just 30 minutes.
Moving on, the leaked unboxing video shows off a blue colored MAte 20 Pro, further confirming the triple cameras and Notch with Face Unlock tech. Further, it also confirms the In-Display fingerprint scanner which is not the fastest despite being the latest in the market. You can have a look at the video below:
Lastly, thanks to all the leaks and reports, we already know most of the things about the device except for the price. Things do not end here, Huawei also aims to launch a gaming-centric Mate 20X smartphone with a huge 7.12″ display, an advanced Mate 20 Pro Porsche Design smartphone and Huawei Watch GT smartwatch. Given that the launch is just a day far, let us wait for the pricing and unrevealed features of these new terms from the Chinese giant. Till then, stay tuned.
