Xiaomi‘s sub-brand POCO launched the Poco F1 last year in August and was a massive success ranking in million of sales. The Poco F2 was spotted a few months back but that turned out to be fake. Now, new reports indicate the Chinese manufacturer could launch a new budget friendly smartphone in the Pocophone line-up called the Poco F1 Lite.
The Pocophone F1 Lite was spotted in benchmarking site GeekBench. The website revealed the smartphone to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 paired with 4GB RAM. It runs on the latest Android 9 Pie with likely MIUI on top. On the performance front, the Poco F1 managed to score 1341 and 4830 points on the single and multi-core test.
From another report, an unknown Xiaomi device with codename URANUS appeared on GeekBench database. Since, it has the same specifications, it is speculated that the Uranus is the Poco F1 Lite. Very few information is available about the Poco F1 Lite at this moment but it looks like it will be placed in the mid-range segment. Competition will be fierce as the recently launched Redmi Note 7 Pro and Samsung M30 provides some impressive specs.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 48MP primary rear camera which captures impressive details because of its large sensor. On the other hand, the Samsung M30 provides a triple camera setup along with an AMOLED display on front. It will be hard for the Poco F1 Lite to outshine these competitors. That being said, the Poco F1 has a generated a good fan following providing specs like SD 855 and 6GB RAM at an affordable cost.
As of now, the company hasn’t released any official launch dates but it should be around the corner based on these appearances.
