Less than three days back, Japanese electronics giant Panasonic launched the Panasonic P101 smartphone in India. Today, Panasonic further expanded it’s portfolio of devices with the launch of Panasonic Eluga I7 which means they’re ready to up their game for the mid range market.
The Panasonic Eluga I7 has a 5.45 inch 18:9 display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels and is covered with 2.5D curved glass atop. Despite 2018 being the bezeless year for smartphones, the Eluga I7 isn’t exactly bezel-less, on the left and right side of the phone there are tiny bezels to the top and bottom.
Coming to the processor, the Panasonic Eluga I7 comes with MediaTek’s MT6737H quad core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, which is quite a surprise considering how budget and specs go hand in hand these days. On the software end of things, the device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, again taking a step back, but there’s a catch, i.e the phone will get a new AI based assistant called Arbo digital assistant once the phone gets updated.
On the imaging front, it comes with a 8MP camera, both on the front and back. One of the prime highlights of the camera is the trusted face and trusted voice recognition software embedded into it. The former lets you unlock the phone with just a glance and the latter does it better with voice. Speaking of camera, the phone has an internal storage of 16GB to cover all your photos and and if that isn’t enough then it comes with an expandable memory of 128GB, thus giving you all the memory you need.
The biggest selling point of the smartphone though, is it’s humongous 4000 mAh battery which can last for more than a day with a single charge. Other than that the device is also packed with a fingerprint scanner on the back and support 4G VoLTE.
The phone is priced at Rs. 6,499 and will only be available in Flipkart exclusively. It is to be noted that Panasonic also launched a similar device earlier this month named Eluga 550, with similar 18:9 display on budget. This phone is a nice addition on the budget segment in India and is a nice alternative to Redmi 5A or 10.or D.
