Oppo Reno is the latest flagship phone lineup from Oppo. After the first from the lineup, Oppo Reno was launched, it created a huge buzz in the smartphone users community. Just at the starting of this month, we came to know that Oppo is working on the next Reno, and also, we came to know that the phone will launch first in India. Today, more details have emerged and this time, the info we have right now is official.
However, at that time nothing was official. But today, Oppo has officially teased the next phone from Oppo Reno lineup. The phone is named Oppo Reno2, which is a bit of surprise as Oppo is named their phones in quite a complex way. Anyway, the Oppo Reno2 will be launched first in India, as speculated on August 28.

This is quite a big step for a brand like Oppo and this somehow indicates that the company is willing to trade on dangerous grounds by introducing flagship phones first in India. Here’s the teaser, in case you haven’t seen it yet.
The company, in the teaser, mentioned a thing or two about the special features of the phone. Oppo Reno2 will come with quad-camera setup on the back and will have 20x zoom. This is a huge leap from the current Oppo Reno smartphone, which has a 10x zoom. However, there is no word regarding what kind of technologies the company is using on the phone or which camera sensor is being used on Oppo Reno2.
But well, the official teaser wasn’t enough for smartphone enthusiasts it seems. An account by the name Fengchao Technology on Weibo, posted on China’s Facebook that the Oppo Reno2 will have a 48-megapixel primary camera. Along with it, there will be a 13-megapixel telephoto lens, which will offer a 20x zoom. He suggested that there will be an 8-megapixel super wide-angle lens and there will be a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. The 2-megapixel monochrome sensor is something pretty uncommon on smartphones.
Also, just now it has been brought to our notice that a new Oppo device bearing the PCKM70 model number has passed through China’s Compulsory Certification Agency (CCC). The listing reveals that the phone comes with Oppo’s proprietary VOOC 3.0 for 20W fast charging and supports 5G connectivity. As of now, as flagship phones are the only ones getting 5G support, so it won’t be surprising if Oppo Reno2 supports 5G as well or if Oppo brings a separate 5G variant of Oppo Reno2. However, as these are unofficial pieces of info from different sources, I would advise you to take it with a pinch of salt. For more coverage regarding Oppo Reno2, keep visiting OnPhones!
Vivo V17 Live Images Leaked! Shows Off unique Diamond Shape camera bump & Punch Hole display.
Vivo is gearing up for a new launch in its camera-centric V-series. Dubbed as the Vivo V17, it will be a slightly watered-down version of the Vivo V17 Pro. Live images of the smartphone have surfaced online giving us a good look at the upcoming smartphone. Moreover, some key specifications of the Vivo V17 have also been leaked prior to its launch later this month.
The alleged Vivo V17 live images released by Russia-based Hi.Tech.Mail shows the smartphone flaunting a gradient finish on its glossy white rear panel with blue and pink accents. The rear houses a quad-camera setup in a diamond-shaped module with an LED flash below it. On the sensors is a 48MP camera while the remaining three camera sensor is not known. It shares many of the design elements with the Vivo S5 that will go official in China on November 14.
The front sports a waterdrop notch with a slightly thick chin at the bottom. The lack of a physical fingerprint sensor suggests the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Vivo V17 is said to come with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It is reported to come with a 4,500 mAh battery with no word on fast charging.
There is no information about the processor powering the upcoming Vivo smartphone. The phone has a prominent ‘Camera & Music’ branding at the back making it clear that Vivo is targeting photography and music enthusiasts. A device with similar specifications was recently certified by TENAA. It was listed with a 6.38 inch AMOLED display. This could be the upcoming Vivo V17 for all we know.
According to another report, Vivo will launch the smartphone in India and Russia later this month. It is expected to be priced around Rs 25,000. As per the report, Vivo will discontinue the Vivo V17 Pro in India and will only see the Vivo V17 variant in the country. As of now, the company has not provided any official launch date.
Moto Razr is making a Comeback, Official Looking Renders Leaked!
For quite some time, we have been hearing that Motorola is working on a Moto Razr smartphone. But the company didn’t really bring it back, despite huge speculations. But looks like the project is still on and finally, we will get to see the Moto Razr getting launched pretty soon. Motorola has already sent out invites for an event in Los Angeles on November 13 and as per some sources, in that event, Moto Razr will be launched.
Tipster Even Blass tweeted out tonight about the Moto Razr and already we can see the hype growing up. Slashleaks also provided a few renders of the phone, however, it looks quite horrible to see at this moment, thanks to the poor pixelated images. The photo Evan Blass tweeted is comparatively better, and here it is.
The all-new Moto Razr will feature a foldable screen packed within a flip phone shell. That means there will be no physical keypad, but the good news is that there is a secondary display so that you can check notifications on the secondary display placed on the outside of the upper shell. The new Moto Razr will continue to have the look of the classic flip phone that Motorola brought to us 15 years back in 2004.
In terms of specifications, Slashleaks suggests that the new Moto Razr will feature a 6.2-inch main display along with a secondary display. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 chipset along with Andreno 616 GPU, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and there will also be a variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. These specs seem quite a bit overwhelming but the phone is said to pack a small 2,730mAh battery. However, these specs are not confirmed yet.
GSMArena says that the display will have a resolution of 1440 x 3040 pixels while Slashleaks says that the display has a resolution of 600×800 pixels. GSMArena listing also mentions a 12-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera, but this part seems quite impractical as, on a flip phone, a single camera can be used as both primary shooter and as selfie shooter, with the help of secondary display. More details are awaited for now, and we are keeping an eye on all the updates regarding the all-new Moto Razr. Stay tuned for more updates.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, Note 10 Lite in Development, Launch may be Imminent!
Samsung has a good year with its ultra-premium flagship phones in 2019. The Galaxy S10 series and the Galaxy Note 10 series brought out the best of what Samsung has to offer while the Galaxy Fold included years of the company’s research in foldable technology. Now according to a bunch of leaks from Sam Mobiles, the South Korean manufacturer has two more models for its 2019 flagship series called the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite.
The Galaxy S10 will be joining the three models from the Galaxy S10 series while the Note 10 Lite will be the third device in the Galaxy Note 10 line-up. According to the new report, the new phones could launch very soon, probably within weeks.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is said to carry the model number SM-G770F. It is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 855 chipset and will be paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The phone is said to include a 48MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide secondary camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, it is supposed to offer a 32MP selfie camera.
All these are rumored to be backed by a 4,500 mAh battery which is expected to be supported by a 45W charging. The display is reported to be 6.7 inches with Full HD+ resolution. From the specs, the device is similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10e, but the latest phone would be better than or equal to it
The Galaxy Note 10 Lite is expected to launch in the European market soon with Red and Black color options. There is not much information about the smartphone but it is expected to bring in the S Pen support from Note 10 with a couple of new features. The internal specs are supposed to be inferior to the Note 10, like a smaller display or smaller battery size. There is no official confirmation but looking at the leaks, we can expect an announcement from Samsung soon.
