OPPO Reno Z with Helio P90 SoC Launched in China!

OPPO launched the OPPO Reno along with the 10x Zoom edition earlier this week in China. Now the Chinese manufacturer has launched another smartphone in the Reno lineup. Dubbed as the OPPO Reno Z, it doesn’t include the shark-fin design pop up camera and comes with a water-drop notch on the front. The company also revealed a new Coral Orange color option for the OPPO Reno smartphone and an Oppo Reno Inspiration Edition.

The OPPO Reno Z features a 6.4 inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution (1080×2340 pixels) and 19:9 aspect ratio. The display comes with an in-screen fingerprint sensor, 92 percent screen-to-body ratio and HDR10 support. Under the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P90 chipset paired with an IMG PowerVR GM 9446 GPU. There is 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage but no mention of a microSD card slot.

In the optics department, the OPPO Reno Z has a dual camera setup comprising of a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor for depth sensing. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie shooter placed on the waterdrop notch. The handset runs ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 4,035mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging Other features includes NFC, Dolby Atmos support, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The OPPO Reno Z is priced at CNY 2,499 (Rs 25,000 approx) for both the 6/256GB and 8/128GB variants. It will be available in Bead White, Coral Orange, Extreme Night Black, and Star Purple color options. The phone will go on sale in China from June 6 while the pre-registrations have already started.  There is no word if this variant will be released in global markets.
