OPPO R15x Launched in China. Just a Renamed Oppo K1



OPPO today officially launched the OPPO R15x in the Chinese market, following a series of teasers and leaks. Currently listed in the company’s official website, it sports similar specs & looks with OPPo K1, and is infact just a renamed OPPO K1 launched in the Chinese market itself a while ago. Like the K1, the device’s highlight is its gradient design and the under display fingerprint sensor.

OPPO R15x features a 6.4 inch display with Gorilla glass protection with 2.5D curved glass on top. It has a resolution of FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 19:5:9 because of its waterdrop notch. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 paired with Adreno 512 GPU which comes with built-in AI support and a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) embedded inside. It is coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.

In the optics department, the device sports a dual camera setup in a horizontal alignment on the top left of 16MP + 2MP configuration with a LED flash. On the front, it offers a 25MP camera sensor for selfies and video calling. The handset runs on ColorOS 5.2 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed 3,600 mAh battery with VOOC support. It comes with a in-display fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and more.

As for the price, the R15x comes with a price tag of CNY 2,499 (Rs 26,500 approx) and will go on  sale from  November 1 with pre-orders already started.
