Last week, both the Oppo R15 and the Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition were spotted in TENAA and it pretty much revealed all the specifications of both the device, but as we all know TENAA sometimes doesn’t give accurate information regarding the processor and other specifics of the phone. Now we have a new leak out here which reveals all the specifications and also the processor which is powering the device.
This leak has been posted over Weibo and this picture kind of looks like the official final presentation, and matches the company’s official tease that they sent out last day. So Oppo is launching two different variants, the Oppo R15 and the R15 Dream Mirror Edition. Talking about the specifications, both the devices sport the same 6.28 inch AMOLED display which comes with a resolution of 2280*1080 pixels.
Out of the box, the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo is coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Now the main difference comes in with the processors, the Oppo R15 is powered by Helio P60 processor which is clocked at 2.0 GHz and is coupled with a dual-core AI chip. The chipset was launched by Mediatek at MWC 2018. Whereas the Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition is powered by Snapdragon 660 processor and is clocked at 2.2 GHz, and comes only with a single-core AI chip.
Now talking about some pixels, the Oppo R15 comes with a 16MP wide angle main camera and also a f/2.2 5MP secondary camera to capture all those details. The Dream Mirror Edition comes with a 16MP sensor and also a second 20MP f/1.7 sensor. Both the devices differ slightly in the battery department, the Oppo R15 comes with 3450 mAh of battery and supports VOOC fast charging, whereas the Dream Mirror Edition comes with 3400 mAh of the battery along with the VOOC fast charging.
Mi 8 Leaked in Hands on video, reveals transparent back!
The Xiaomi‘s Mi 8 Anniversary flagship is again on the news which is rumoured to be unveiled at Xiaomi Annual Product Event in Shenzhen, speculations pointing to a May 31 date. The company yesterday confirmed the existence of the smartphone by releasing a teaser. This time a hands-on-video of the upcoming flagship has surfaced online revealing key details about its design aspects.
Take a look at the video:
From the video, the smartphone seems to feature a transparent glass back panel and it looks stunning. The Snapdragon chipset with Qualcomm’s logo can be easily seen while the company’s logo is engraved on the lower half of the glass panel. The front panel also matches with the notched leaked front panel couple of weeks earlier. The presence of notch and looking at the thickness, the hope of 3D face scanning technology is still alive. The dual cameras are stacked in a vertical position on the top left corner with a LED Flash.
Other features includes a 6.01 inch OLED display, Snapdragon 845 chipset, Under display fingerprint sensor, AI powered cameras with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) and a 4,000 mAh battery. Previously a leaked image revealed it will be available in four configurations: 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM, 8GB RAM+128GB ROM, 8GB RAM +256GB ROM and 8GB RAM + 512GB ROM which will be priced at 3599 Yuan (Rs 38,500 approx), 4099 Yuan (Rs 43,500 approx), 4499 Yuan (Rs 48,000 approx) and 4899 Yuan (Rs 52,000 approx) respectively.
Xiaomi’s Upcoming Flagship Mi 8 Pricing & Variants Leaked(Again)!
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is alleged to host a launch event for launching its latest iteration in the Mi series by the end of this month. It has also been in the air that the company has decided to skip the Mi 7 and go straight ahead to the Mi 8 to match the numbers with its anniversary.
According to the leaks surfaced on Weibo, there might be two variants for the Mi 8. The rumors suggest that the Mi 8 is likely to be released with the under-display fingerprint scanner technology. The screen is expected to be a huge 6.01-inch display. There might also be no delays in the unlocking mechanism, unlike the current smartphones which have incorporated the feature. The device is also expected to feature the 3D facial scanning as seen on the Apple iPhone X.
The device was spotted on a hands-on video a few ago and it looks like it will be faster than the current phones in unlocking. In terms of specifications, it is expected to feature the bleeding-edge hardware available in the market like the Snapdragon 845, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and AI camera with 2x optical zoom support. The video showed the device to be running on MIUI 9, which is more likely to be based on Android 8.0 Oreo.
As mentioned earlier, the Mi 8 is expected to come with two variants – one with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, the other one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. They are expected to be priced at 2,799 Yuan (~$439) & 3,199 Yuan (~$502) respectively. In the leaked image, the space for the device is blurred out. This makes us doubt the credibility of the image and hints that the image might be actually made-up.
Another report has been surfacing online claiming to be the pricing of the upcoming device but a Xiaomi executive has confirmed that the image is not genuine.
