Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s to Support Portrait Mode & Full HD Slow Motion Video Recording
The release of Xiaomi‘s latest iteration in its flagship series- the Mi Mix 2S is right around the corner. There are solid leaks hinting about the device’s specifications and even a hands-on video. We’ve witnessed a bunch of hands-on images leaks for the device featuring different design languages. If the leaks turn out to be true, the Mi Mix 2S will be the first phone in the series to feature dual rear cameras.
If the device is to be coupled with a pair of cameras, then the dual camera setup is definitely expected to feature AI capabilities for scene detection. Some information hinting about the features of the camera has been found by XDA Developers today. The below code proves the use of AI to identify the picture scene for you and optimize the picture based on the scene.
The infamous portrait mode is also present in the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. This is an essential feature as almost every phone launching in the market these days come with a pre-equipped portrait mode feature. In addition to it, Google has decided to open-source its tool used for achieving portrait mode shots on the Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL.
The report claims that the device will also feature multi-frame noise reduction technology in the MIUI Camera. It allows the camera to rapidly capture multiple photos and superimpose to cut down the noise.
The device also allows users to shoot slow-motion videos of HD quality (1080p) at 120fps. It also supports HD slow-motion videos(720p) at 240fps. This is a major upgrade considering the fact that the Mi Mix 2 could only achieve HD slow motion at 120fps. It also supports HEVC video encoding, parallel processing, and dual SAT cameras.
The device sports a 6.01-inch Full HD+ display and it comes with a resolution of 2160*1080 pixels. This basically means that the handset will be coming with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device is powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC. It is coupled with 8GB of RAM.
Mi Mix 2s Expected Specifications
- Snapdragon 845 SoC
- 6.01-inch Full HD+ Display
- 8 GB RAM
- 256 GB internal storage
- Dual 12 MP RGB sensor and 12 MP monochrome camera
- Under-display fingerprint sensor

We’ve been hearing lots about this new device from Meizu, the Meizu E3. It has been called as the Redmi Note 5 (or Pro) killer by some, and it’s for a reason! Now, we have more details about the device. The all-new Meizu E3 is all set to be launched on 21st of March, so let’s dive-in and checkout the specifications of this device.
This device sports a 5.99-inch full-screen display which comes in 18:9 aspect ratio and has a resolution of 2160*1080 pixels. The device is solid as the rock, thanks to the full metal design. Towards the upper left corner of the device, there is a dual rear camera which comes with the Sony IMX363 sensor.
Now, this is something which is interesting because we can find this sensor on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. Now talking about some power, the device comes with Snapdragon 636 chipset and is coupled with 4/6GB of RAM. A non-removable 3000 mAh battery backs the device and yes it does come with the fast charging capabilities, 20W to be specific.
