OPPO will be launching a new smartphone on May 23 and it seems the model packs everything. Dubbed as the OPPO K3, the official teaser poster has been released by the Chinese manufacturer. The smartphone will be the successor to the OPPO K1 that was launched last year with an in-screen fingeprint sensor.
As previous rumors suggested, the OPPO K3 will feature a retractable selfie camera. It has a classic pop-up module that takes 0.74 seconds to come out. There is a single sensor on it which is speculated to be a 16MP one. The company claims the pop-up mechanism has been tested over 2,00,000 times.
The rear will sport a dual camera setup of 16MP + 2MP. From the official image, the fingerprint sensor is missing so we can assume that it will have an under display one. The front has a 6.5 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 91.1% screen-to-body ratio and DC dimming. So this will be a mid-range handset will an ID sensor under the display.
Under the hood, it houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 paired with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. It will also have an 8GB RAM variant and will retain the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The battery size is unknown but it is likely to come with VOOC 3.0. The official website of OPPO confirms that it will be available in three color options: Nebula Purple which is featured on the poster, White and Black. As for the pricing, it is believed to be priced between 1,000 Yuan (Rs 10,000 approx) to 2,200 Yuan (22,000 approx).
For other information, you have to wait until the official launch on May 23. Till then, keep tuned.
