Oppo K1 Set to Launch in India on the first week of February, Could cost under Rs.20,000!

Oppo launched the Oppo K1 four months back in China. The Chinese smartphone giant has finally decided to bring the smartphone to the Indian market. According to the reports, the device is expected to launch on February first week.

The device is rumored to be unveiled as a Flipkart Exclusive. Oppo K1 will be the first ever device from the K series to be unveiled in India. Even after being about to be unveiled after a long gap of 4 months, it still comes with decent specifications.

The smartphone flaunts a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. There is a water drop shaped notch on the top of the display which houses the front camera. This brings the screen-to-body ratio of 91%. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Under the hood, it is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, clocked at 2.2GHz and coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. There will be two RAM variants – 4/6 GB coupled with 64 GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.

In the optics department, the Oppo K1 gets a dual camera set up at the back featuring a 16-megapixel primary sensor along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The front camera is a 25 MP shooter.

On the software front, the phone runs on ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It gets its juice from a 3,600mAh battery. As its USP, the phone packs an In-display fingerprint scanner and skimps on a physical one for the same. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi i 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and GLONASS.

The Oppo K1 is available in two color variants including Mocha Red and Van Gogh Blue. The pricing is not known yet but it is speculated to be priced under Rs.20,000 which would rise competition in this price segment. We’ll have to wait till the brand officially announces the price. Till then, stay tuned for updates.
