Oppo AX5 Spotted at Taiwan’s NCC Certification Authority. Striking Resemblance with Realme 2!

Published

As Realme is gearing up for the launch of next-gen Realme smartphone, have already started teasing Realme 2 on different platforms, as new Oppo phone has popped up over at Taiwan’s NCC certification authority, the Oppo AX5. But what makes this one interesting is the fact that how similar it looks to the upcoming Realme 2, which we saw from the previous leaks. But it does lack fingerprint scanner on the back though.

Take a look at the new images:

Like the Realme 2, it has a notch display up front with slim bezels on the sides the rounded edges, a power button on right with the volume rockers on the left. This could also very well confirm the presence of a Type C port on Realme 2, which is a welcome addition to the phone.

Realme 2’s poster which was ‘accidentally’ leaked by the company itself on their new official website, although it was removed quickly, the leaked image revealed that both the upper and rear side of the smartphone, with a caption that read “A Notch Above“. The smartphone has slim bezels at the sides with the notch at the top which houses the front camera, on the back Realme 2 has the same diamond cut design as its predecessor, it is speculated to sport a 13MP +2MP (horizontal) dual rear camera setup with LED flash and a rounded fingerprint sensor which was not present in Realme 1.

Realme 2 is expected to be an improvement over the Realme 1 and that being said we do not expect it to have top-notch features since it falls in the midrange segment, most of the specs will be similar to Oppo F7 (and Oppo AX5 possibly!) but it is speculated to get a huge 4,230mAh battery. As for the launch date, the Realme 2 is rumoured to launch on 26 August in India for a price around of Rs. 19,000.

What this does show is the fact that how close Oppo & Realme are still, even though Realme announced their departure from Oppo’s umbrella last month.
