Oppo has finally launched a new budget smartphone i.e. the Oppo A3s that comes with Dual Cameras and a large battery as attention seekers. The device is priced at Rs. 10,990 and will go on sale starting July 15 through the online and offline market. It brings nifty features and is the cheapest phone to offer a notched display in the market as of now.
The Oppo A3s features a 6.2-inch ‘Super full-screen’ HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels and a notch on top, maintaining a screen-to-body ratio of 88.8% and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with 2/3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of onboard storage.
In the Camera department, the Oppo A3s flaunts a dual camera setup at the back, featuring a 13MP primary sensor coupled with a 2MP secondary sensor. The 8MP selfie shooter is said to be embedded with certain AI features including ‘AI Beauty’ that uses a cloud database to identify facial features and enhance them accordingly.
If all of these sounds familiar to you, it’s because Oppo previously launched the same device in China with the name Oppo A5!
On the software front, we have Color OS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. All this is backed by a large 4,230mAh battery capacity. The device offers a glossy back design with Red and Dark Purple colour options. This is reported to be a toned down version of the Oppo A3 that was launched recently in China.
The device will go on sale from July 15 through online stores including Flipkart, Amazon, and PaytmMall in addition to the offline markets priced at Rs. 10,990 and Rs. 12,990 for 2/16GB and 3/32GB configurations, respectively. Though the device brings in quite good features, the base variant is nowhere near to current RAM and storage standards for a sub-10K device. Stay tuned for more updates.
