There is still a couple of months left before the official launch of the OnePlus‘s next phone, OnePlus 7 but we have already seen what it looks like thanks to the 3D renders and the 360-degree video that was leaked last week. Today, an official render and live photos of the phone’s case appeared online confirming the design aspects of the phone.
The leaked render of the device’s case revealed that the OnePlus 7 will have a triple rear camera setup that is vertically arranged in the middle. An opening at the top of the case confirms that the smartphone will indeed come with a pop-up selfie camera. There are cutouts on the sides of the case- one on the left for volume rocker and a wider one on right for Alert slider and power button.
However, the real images of the phone’s case show a slight discrepancy. The right cut-out is split into two for the alert and slider button. The cut-out for the pop-up selfie camera is there. The renders seems to be mix of leather and plastic but the live images shows it to be made entirely of polycarbonate.
The OnePlus 7 was spotted on a retailer’s website revealing key information. It will feature a 6.5 inch AMOLED display and house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The triple camera rear setup will be of 48MP + 20MP + 16MP configuration while the front offers a pop-up 16MP selfie camera. It will be backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with support 44W Dash Charging and VOOC Fast Charging seen on OPPO devices. Pete Lau already confirmed at MWC that there will be no wireless charging .It will likely run on Oxygen OS based on Android 9 Pie.
OnePlus has not announced any official launch date or pricing of the OnePlus 7. It is expected to be launched in May-June and priced around Rs 35,000-Rs 40,000. Till then, keep tuned.
