OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of its new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition globally on December 11. The Indian launch will take place on December 12 in Mumbai which will also be witnessed as the company’s fifth anniversary celebration. Now, the Chinese manufacturer has taken a step ahead and opened up the pre-order registrations on Amazon India.

The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will be an Amazon Exclusive and the “notify me” page is live on the e-commerce website. The launch will be held at Richardson & Cruddas Limited building, Byculla, Mumbai at 6.00 PM. OnePlus fans who wants to attend the event will have to take invitations from the OnePlus’s official website which are offered for a price of Rs 799, starting 10 AM from December 6.

OnePlus has previously collaborated with other brands launching a Star Wars edition as well as an Avengers edition. The OnePlus 6T announced its partnership with British supercar brand McLaren last month with a tagline reading “salute to speed” which means the smartphone will have the same responsiveness and the lagfree experience provided on the regular version of the OnePlus 6T. It will likely ship with extra RAM and internal storage while keeping the optical configuration and the processor same.

There will likely be customised themes, wallpapers and design with orange specific colours since McLaren’s signature color is orange. The OnePlus website also hinted an carbon-fibre back. Like all previous Special Editions, the McLaren OnePlus 6T variant is likely to be priced higher than the top variant of the handset.

The OnePlus 6T regular variant features a 6.41 Optic AMOLED display with a teardrop notch and has a 3D glass back coated with anti-glare coating. It houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with 6GB /8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage. It sports a rear dual camera setup of 20MP + 16MP and a single 16MP camera at the front. It runs on OxygenOS on top of Android Oreo and is backed up by a 3,700 mAh Li-Po battery.
